Excellant and William Back to his best!
A lot of the of his recent books/series have been a miss and about half way through I have given up. William was up there with my top 10 authors, I mean Cultivating Chaos is an awesome series. This new book is up there with the likes of James Haddock, Xander Jade, Marvin Knight and Daniel Schinhofen to name but a few. Its a great beginning to what I hope will be at least a trilogy. I loved the world building, the pace of growth for the MC (AI eater, what a great and noval idea) and the way relationships are introduced and growth, the author did it perfectly. It is very rare that I start a book on kindle unlimited, and then return it so that I can buy it out right as I want the author to get as much as they can for doing an amazing job, this is definaletly one of those times. Loved the book and cannot wait for the next one!

Brilliant start to a me series.
William has done it again with another great book, what makes it better it's Tuesday it's the stat of a be set of books. Loved the banter the MC has with others, the works building was good look fussed to where this goes and really looking first to where this goes.

Great storytelling of the maddest kind
This is a rocket ship of a read, fast paced with an MC who just keeps on getting himself into situations that some how workout and leave us wanting to see what happens next. How he’s so successful with the ladies, even if it’s only ever heavy petting, is beyond me but fair play to him as it’s just plain daftness that kept me turning the pages.I thoroughly recommend you download this and enjoy 😁

well worth reading
I have been a fan of Battletech / Mechwarrior for decades.I’ve read most of the books and can say that this lines up as being as good as most of them. The comments the main character comes out with while being semi conscious from illness made me genuinely laugh out loud as I know I can relate to it.Maybe not the same kind of wording but in the uncensored waffle because the brain is not totally in charge of the mouth .When’s part two?

Love this
A new series, a new setup, and some pretty good sci-fi all in one.I like the amount of stage-setting and world building. Enough info to let you know where things stand but no exposition-dumps.The MC is fun and as ever with Arrand books the supporting characters have at least some depth to them. Now to wait for the next book in the series. There had better be a series here.

Back to it.
Haven't read Arand work in a while. The Runnerverse - or whatever it's called - began to feel a little messy. And System Overclocked(Overlocked?) Can't remember was boring asf.Given this is a mech series, I decided to give it a try.Other than every single one of Arand Mcs being the same abrasive person personality wise and the female characters a little copy-paste from others of his works, it's a good solid book.Though the synopsis made it seem as if a technological regression was taking place. Other than small minute hints that maybe it is, nothing is ever again mentioned about it.We'll see how it goes with book 2.

A fantastic new series
A great new series in a setting that is very reminiscent of Battletech, but with Arand's fantastic style and flair

Brilliant!
Another stunning book, hopefully the start to a new series. Nods towards 40K and Battletech while remaining different enough to be its own universe and what we expect as far as characters are concerned. Some comments lead to believe that Mr Arand isn't much a fan of TRO3025 and who was introduced in it... :)

william D. Arrand is one of the very few Authors where I automatically buy any new book
this book showcases why that is. an engaging protagonist, excellent plotting and character development, superlative dialog, both funny and thought provoking, it's got it all.He tends to write in trilogies or longer series, and this is shaping up to be one of my all-time favorites.

Read it on one day!
Great book. It sort of reminds me of other characters on other books from the same author. Sort if dissapointed that there is not a second book(yet).

A strange MC, but it works
Not your typical MC, this one seems to have verbal diarrhoea but mainly in the area of telling women they are attractive, and that he would like to do more with them (although never goes through with any of it). He has outrageous luck, and with an implant he becomes a Walker pilot (think Mech Warrior). With a strange AI eating program stuck in his implant and an artificial eye enhancing him, he becomes a fearsome pilot with a bevy of attractive women that he just seems to flirt with. Plenty of witty banter and innuendo make it interesting, oh and the Mech Warrior style battles are also quite enjoyable to read. I would like another book in the series please Mr Arand.

What a read!
This book was a true page turner. The characters were well thought out and real, great interaction. Great pace of the story, fast where it made sense and slow when needed. The dialog was great and understandable. Not alot of droning technobabble. Overall I can't wait for vol 2, 3 4......27. Outstanding work!

Excellent start
New series, amusing MC, the 'Walker' or Mech world view is interesting. Lots of conflicts, with minor politics from the MC's view point. Slow on the harem aspect, typical for this author. Looking forward to the next book.
