Not the same as Brita branded filters…position with care
EDIT: After writing the following review I discovered that my bottle, on its side in the fridge as it always is, had leaked all over the place since fitting this filter. The difference in shape clearly made all the difference! Since then I have reversed which way up the filter sits. The slight lip is now at the bottom, facing the bottle, with the slightly domed side facing up towards the mouthpiece. This seems to have sorted the issue. I also noticed whilst moving it around that the outer paper over the has started to come away from the inside, peeling apart at the edge. I didn’t see anything to tell you which way up to put the filter, and my bottle is shown on the compatibility photo page. For these reasons I have amended to 3 stars. Would recommend you buy the official filters if you can find them on offer for a good price!I have had my Brita bottle for a good while but was put off by the price of replacement filters and simply haven’t bothered in recent months, just using it as a convenient bottle and leaving out the filter entirely. So I do not have an existing filter to show side by side. However, whereas the Brita branded ones are very hard and a simple disc shape, these feel softer and squishier and have a sort of lip on one side. That said, it has slipped into my bottle perfectly (one of the grey flexible ones with a green carry strap, sorry I do not know the model number) and doing the job just the same as far as I can tell. I immediately taste a difference in the water as opposed to unfiltered. Now, I honestly don’t care much about filtering my water, I originally got the bottle simply because it was a good price on special offer and had the sort of lid I was looking for at the time. I advise you to compare prices and stats with the branded ones, as I see they are on offer here currently, but these ones are certainly better value than the branded ones I have seen in the shops. There may be a difference in the amount of water they claim to filter or the regularity with which they should be changed, which could skew the affordability factor. Also, I recall the Brita ones requiring to be soaked before use and then every week or so? I don’t see any such instructions with these. Less hassle if you don’t need to do that, certainly. So do your own research, but as far as fit and the taste of the water goes, I can tell no difference, all good.

Great taste but not a brilliant fit
Firstly for the cost of these I think that I would go for the genuine Brits filters over these ones. They fit ok but they are a sightly different shape to the genuine ones and I am not convinced that they seal as well. As for filtering, they seem to be the same and the water has a nicer taste with these than just plain water in my opinion.
