Great smell. I could taste the Smokey bourbon in the chicken. I used this on my BGE

The bourbon smell hits your right when you open the bag. And it’s fantastic! I’ve used these quite a few times and the flavor is great!

Have gotten several other brands that are former alcohol barrels this is by far the one that had the strongest smell and flavor.

The flavor these produce is pretty good and the burn quality is consistent since the shape and size for each of the wood blocks are consistent and equally dense.They’re roughly the size of a charcoal briquette but a bit thinner. The wood itself appears to be oak but there is clearly some wine that has soaked into the wood leaving a red stain on one side of the wood.

You can smell the bourbon in the wood chips as soon as you open the bag. The smoke taste was light, but enjoyable. It’s kind of expensive, but great to keep on hand for special occasions.

Very satisfied with these, they are true pieces of a barrel! Delivered quickly. I ordered a smoker but it's not here yet. Also I was really surprised on how many pieces were in the bag, it was more than I expected. Can't wait to use them on a chicken or slab of baby back ribs.Great value for the $$.Will buy again!

Didn’t smoke as well as other wood chunks I’ve used so ended up with basically no bourbon taste. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I use them all the time when I cook on my fire pit which is almost every day in the hood weather

I expected a much bigger package. I received mine yesterday and went to write a review and just noticed the price has also gone up 70%.Great smelling timber but hard to justify at that price.
