If you are considering buying this, get it! I am a regular crafter, quilter but my craft room is in storage currently. I was itching for a project but couldn’t find any of my cutting stuff. I decided to buy this, hoping the quality was good even though it was cheaper than a name brand I have in many of my cutting notions. This exceeds my expectations!I can’t talk to the self healing of the mat yet since I’ve only used it the one time so far but it is a very thick, double sided mat. The ruler is very sturdy, shorter than the mat but it’s fine, it works for small to medium projects. The other notions are great as well. The rotary cutter though, that is my favorite! Like it is now going to be my favorite rotary cutter! I have several in storage but this one will be put to the forefront once it comes out. It is smooth, blades are sharp, handles great size, and I LOVE the safety button. It locks the blade in place but when it’s not locked, it retracts the blade when you left go of the “trigger”. Meaning, every time I am done cutting and I lay it down, the blade is safely closed. I know there are others out there like this but I don’t have one and I have several name branded cutters.This is a very nice packaged deal and would be great for a gift to a new or even old sewer/quilter. The color (purple) is very vibrant. Love this purchase!

This cutting mat set is great and I can't recommend it enough. I got the 36"x24" and it is by far the best cutting mat I have ever gotten and the thickest. I was able to over most of my large Ikea desk with it and when I cut anything on it the blade glides on it easily and doesn't cut it immediately. I also love the rotary cutter that it came with because it's super easy to hold and the blade is super sharp on it so it cuts fabric like butter. And the acrylic ruler is super nice quality as well. This entire kit even the clips are just a great kit for a starter or even a professional. I 10/10 can't recommend it enough. So worth the price.

It has been a while since I've done any sewing so I had to order almost all new supplies because I either got rid of what I had or items were lost. Many times "kits" are of mediocre quality to save on costs. However, I resolved to be satisfied with what I purchased because I would only need the items for a short time to complete a few projects. Therefore, I chose a product with a price I could live with. When I got ready to begin my projects, ( I am making 7 teddy bears from my dad's old shirts or my 5 nieces, my daughter, and my great niece) I was amazed at the quality of the items! One of the reasons I quit sewing was because of the arthritis in my hands, but the ergonomic rotary cutter alleviated the pain and fatigue I would normally have after cutting so much fabric. It really feels great in my hand, and not difficult to engage the cutter like the one I've had for years. The mat is double-sided, durable, and heavy, and is the perfect size for the small space I have to work in. The extra blades and the clips are an added bonus. It did take me a while to figure out what the peel-away disks are for, but I think they should be used on one side of the mat to prevent it from slipping. There was nothing in the package to indicate how they should be used, and I couldn't find anything in the description. If you are even considering this purchase, it is totally worth the price.

The rotary cutter is awesome! Just started sewing and used this to quickly cut out a pattern with no problem. Mat is sturdy and as long as you put good pressure on the rotary cutter it's a champ! Also so cute in pink. Even the little clips it came with. Would highly recommend.

I purchased so that I could make a quilt for my son. If I'm being honest, I wanted it specifically because it was purple. It definitely surprised me! Everything is working wonderfully. I do feel like the blade could be sharper on the rotary cutter but that's about it. Would definitely recommend.

I have been using a travel rotary blade for a few months and this one, glides wonderfully. Cuts easy and is easy to use and lock so you don't have a slip when you aren't using them. The mat is sturdy and the clips are a nice bonus. I would buy for all my sewers.

Nice quality and comes with the necessities. I use this often for sewing. I love the fabric cutter. Even comes with extra blades.

This is now my favorite rotary cutter and the mat is nice and thick. It arrived flat and I appreciate that.
