A brilliant design.
I ordered this for ourselves after having been impressed with the Byron wireless doorbell with strobe light alert we got for my hard-of-hearing mother-in-law. The first thing to say is that the first one that arrived was found to be faulty after setting it up; the batteries in the bell-push were only lasting a day! I was thinking of knocking a star off for this, but it seems a bit daft because it's the quality of the final, working product that people need to see reviewed. The item was replaced without quibble or fuss, and at no cost to me; "postage" just involved taking it to our local Asda and leaving it at customer services (packed up and labelled of course). The replacement was simplicity itself to set up. Fitting the battery (supplied) into the bell-push took a few seconds, then it's ready to be synchronised with the sounder. All this involves is plugging the sounder into a convenient mains socket and pressing the bell-push to make sure it works. Then the bell-push is fixed to the doorframe. It can either be screwed, or for a UPVC frame like ours it is stuck on with adhesive pads. (Hint - I followed the Amazon suggestion and ordered a pack of Sellotape adhesive pads as well, but you don't actually need these as a sticky pad is included with the doorbell, in the little packet containing the battery). After fixing the bell-push in place, that's it! About ten minutes after opening the packet you've got a working door-bell! I particularly like the idea of the "plug-through" sounder unit, which means that you've got a reliable mains-powered bell sounder without any wiring or losing use of the plug it works from. Brilliant design! I would recommend this to anyone.

Two pairs working together
• Bought two of this bundle and they're great; one sounder upstairs and one downstairs so we can hear them around the house. If you only have one sounder you may struggle to hear it over music/television if you're on a different floor. • The chime melody is set by the bell push; so we have one sound for the front door and another for the side door. There are four melodies to choose from, but a couple are similar. • A doddle to setup; plug sounder into socket and then press all the bell pushes you want to sync within 2 minutes. Sounder doesn't forget which bell pushes they're sync'd to if they're unplugged/power fails for a few hours. And our neighbours bell pushes aren't setting them off. • Plug-through means you don't lose use of a socket but manufacturers recommends you don't plug transformers through them as it can reduce the range.

So this is a perfect solution as it just adds an extension to her ...
Bought as additions for my mum's existing doorbell - she's over 80 and claimed she couldn't hear the doorbell anymore! So this is a perfect solution as it just adds an extension to her existing doorbell. Easy to set up and activate. Cheaper to order complete set than individual as it came with batteries. Excellent product and excellent customer service from the manufacturers who advised best solution over the phone to me. Thank you.

Value for Money ...
I am fairly happy with this product now that it is unpacked and afixed to my doorframe. Loud enough ring ... only 2 negative points 1) it has to be fixed securely with screws as opposed to a stick on backing and 2) the button to change the melody is located within the doorbell push, meaning you have to go outside, take off the frontage and select tune then re-affix frontage as opposed to choosing melody from main unit. Apart from these two points, it seems to be a quality product and works very well. I am happy with my purchase.

just what I wanted
I bought this to replace our old bell.It was very easy to install and works well. The only problem with it is there is no volumne control and it is quite loud. However I would still purchase this model again as the price and ease of installation outways the volumne

Excellent Purchase
The push button is attached to our conservatory door. Other similar purchases haven’t had the range required. The Byron has no such issues, it’s easy to attach externally and since it’s been in place has been unaffected y heavy rain , snow and ice. Chimes are loud if so required with a selection of ringtones. Excellent value.
