Rainforest Escape

I love this, I've been looking for something that has two pages and tear out.This is like old fashioned writing paper and really thick , you could paint acrylic or watercolour on it.Here I used pens but it makes my markers look vibrant and I can blend them into each other.

This was a lovely surprise of a watercolour colouring book. The images are lovely and the watercolour paper is pretty decent considering it is a colouring book. I have come across some really rubbish paper masquerading as watercolour paper in some of these types of books in the past, but the paper in this is nice and quite thick. I have used some heavier washes and it buckled slightly but it dried relatively flat later. The illustrations are really pretty and there is something different on each page from the more simple 1 page drawing to a fold out, more detailed double page illustration.The theme is the carribean, somewhere that the illustrator has spent a lot of time living. This makes sure that the images are full of life, birds, foliage and animals that make the carribean islands so beautiful. This book was a lovely little treat and I will definitely be buying the rest in the series.

SUBLIME - SUPERB - SURPRISING.......I cant believe the utter amazing quality of this book. The designs leave me feeling the need to dip my toe in a lagoon and pick a mango fresh from the tree whilst listening to a bird of paradise singing by my side. This is of course if I paint it correctly haha. I have read about these books and watched flips thinking they just cant be that good. NOW I know I was wrong. The watercolour paper is soft and yet holds a fair amount of water, the paints of all media type just lay down with smooth matt finish and I can say ive already ordered the Thailand book and the next ill buy is the Carnival. At last some publisher has agreed to use proper good quality paper instead of createspace rubbish. I'm thrilled and excited.

I love this colouring book. There are some really lovely designs and the paper is great to be able to use pens as well as pencils. I mostly like using pencils but have started to use fine liner colouring pens as well and do a combination of both in this book. I have some water pencils but havn't tried them yet but the paper is sturdy enough to be able to take that I think. Very happy with my purchase. Good value for money.

An clever lady does lovely drawing , I like other people drawings and paintings , I love colouring in very therapic .

This book has many simple designs which are fab for paint and some more intricate which take felt pens very well. The paper is very thick verging on cardboard and off white...I like this book and Will definitely look out for further publications.

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful illustrations and thick good quality paper. Genuinely impressed with the quality, ordered one more illustrating Thailand and will be ordering another one as a gift for someone

Bought this used like new came in beautiful shape only having been shelved on in a bookstore so when I bought it I bought it to watercolor inn in I will be honest with you the paper is phenomenal the imagery is obviously tropical so if you’re not interested in that probably this is in the book for you but it’s great for water coloring and since I’m new at water coloring I figured this would be a great way to go and I’m so happy I bought it and I’m also grateful that it came in the condition it did as fast as it did and if I had known how good it really was I might have bought a new copyBut this is as new and my work and it has been wonderfully fantastically fun! I have used Daniel Smith mission Gold M Graham and Sennelier Watercolors abd NO OILLING EVEN WITH LOTS IF WATER- The paper is great I love this I would recommend this if I could give it 10 stars I would. The parent is a WIP that I messed up but the Kingfisher I think came out pretty good and that was the first when I did and I love the paper I fell in love with this while water coloring that bird. I only used three colors – and there are flowers and leaves and just so many ways I can practice my water coloring I just love this. ( all of these are WIP – I’m still trying to figure out a background for that Kingfisher) No I want to get her book Island escape!

Definitely like the pictures in this book. A lot of them are fold outs though. Paper quality is excellent and heavy. Takes every medium with no problem. Does take water as long as you don't soak it. Nice and thick book. I will be purchasing more of this work in the future
