UPDATE - IT WORKS! One of the kids had an accident and this perfectly protected the mattress! The protector pad itself is heavily stained and you can even see the stain on the bottom side but no liquid at all made it through to the mattress and there is zero staining on the mattress. Awesome job!!!! Also, be mindful of the bonus corner holding straps. This happened super early in the morning and in my sleepyness I just yanked the first corner and the strap snapped. I used heavy duty thread to sew it back on so no real harm done but just 1 extra hilarious mishap to a rough morning, haha. Works perfectly!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I am absolutely in love with this mattress protector! You can see in my comparison photo what I upgraded from and this is just astounding quality. The fit is perfect on a 13-14” thick mattress which is pretty chonky.The corners have extra elastic bands that really help hold everything in place. I snapped a photo of what those look like on the corners underneath.The pad itself is definitely liquid-proof and it has a nice layer of extra protection on top of the liquid-proofed layer.The mattress fabric is perfect. Nice and soft and there wasn’t a single loose stitch or problem anywhere on the fabric. Top notch quality!This protector isn’t that much more expensive that cheaper alternatives and I think it has nice features and a much better fit that justify the increase in cost over cheapo brands or store brands.Overall this is a solid 5/5 from me and I’m super happy with it!

This is a very standard mattress protector, minus the crinkle sound with every move. Fits the bed nicely and I appreciate the securing straps. It is certainly not plush, which I don’t mind, as plush can sometimes be bulky. It’s a great price for a king sized protector!

I am highly allergic to dust mites. As a result, I need a mattress cover on any mattress I sleep on to reduce exposure to dust mites. This mattress cover was very easy to place, and it seems pretty high-quality. It fit the mattress very well, and it did not move around underneath my sheet.

This mattress protector has a smooth, quilted top, unlike my previous model, which felt like terrycloth and would "snag" on flannel sheets.It also has extra elastic straps at the corners, to hold it beneath the bed and keep it secure.Once I put it on the bed, I poured some water on it, and let that sit for a minute. It did not soak through. The top layer seemed to sort of wick the liquid outward. I pressed the area with a towel, and the mattress protector then felt almost completely dry.I noticed no noise or discomfort when sleeping on it.It's on the thin side, overall - top, side fabric - so I wouldn't recommend it for a situation that required daily laundering (elder care, etc.) but in a home with pets which might have occasional accidents, it's perfect.Very nice quality for the price.

I am a firm believer in multiple layers of waterproof mattress protection. At the bare minimum, I use a zippered protector to fully encase the mattress plus a sheet style protector on top and possibly a 3rd for good measure. One protector can fail. Multiple waterproof layers prevent this and makes middle of the night changes for bed wetters a breeze.AllerEase is a reliable brand. Out of all my mattress protectors, I can depend on AllerEase to function properly. The top layer is fabric for comfort, but the bottom layer is waterproof. While it works great as a water barrier, you will still need to run it through the washer. It doesn't wipe cleanly like a basic vinyl protector would. This is the only downside. However, it makes for a more comfortable sleep.I really like the added function of the security straps. This keeps the protector on much better no matter how much the sleeper tosses and turns. However, the kids find it a bit harder to put the beds together by themselves.Overall, I'm happy with this product. Definitely recommend.

We have used mattress protectors for decades and while our bed already has a fully encased mattress protector, I needed a waterproof protector to go over the foam topper to prevent any issues, in part because of an elderly dog who still enjoys her time on the bed.Unlike the full protectors that go over the entire mattress, this is just for the top side. The protector does fit nicely and snugly over the mattress and topper, even before the straps were put into place. The waterproof layer is only on the top - if water gets spilled and runs down the side, this protector won't help keep anything under it dry - similar to the several centimeters of space between the edges of my bed and the top of the cover. It will work great if the spill is concentrated on the top middle, but I have concerns if my dog is in the process of jumping up on the bed and leaks.While the listing states this is "plush," the top is also thin enough that it's not going to be a noticeable softening of your bed, at all. This will not take the place of a topper or padded protector. The upside to that is this fits perfectly in the wash with a set of sheets.That being said, this brand has not yet failed met in the years we've used their products. I expect it to last as long as the others and, while it's not as robust and fail safe as a lot of their other mattress protectors, it's great for what it is and a good value for the price.
