Company refunded my money
The media could not be loaded. Update: The company contacted me after reading my review. The offered me a full refund which I appreciated the prompt response and their willingness to make the gesture of refunding my money. However use your own judgement. I’m not sure why the video doesn’t have sound and is glitching.Original post: I’m not sure how these companies function. The “instructions sheet” is one piece of paper. Parts list and somewhat of an “expanded “ view on one side and what is poorly half written instructions on the other. Very hard to follow and skips from how to assemble to how to operate. It doesn’t even finish explaining how to assemble it fully. Very poorly translated. The holes drilled to mount the actual winch are so high up that once you bolt the winch on you can put the top piece on that has the pullies attached. The bolts don’t match the holes. I’m going to try and attach a video to show some of this.

Great for hunting if you get a deer
The product worked as expected and advertised. The crank/cable ould use some upgrades as it was a bit finicky to change direction of travel. But overall, worked well for 3 deer this season.

Great purchase.
It’s a little heavy, but a lot lighter than trying to load a deer alone. It takes a few minutes to put together, but it is worth the money and time!

Heavy and awkward, but works.
I bought this product, not for hoisting deer, but for hoisting my Champion generator into the back of my pickup truck. It comes disassembled and has the worst little booklet of instructions I have ever seen. It is not well written and the pictures suck. If you have the mind of an engineer or a mechanic, you will figure out how to assemble the product. The other negative is the cable size and length. A 1/8" steel cable is all that is needed for hoisting 300 pounds. The 3/16" cable supplied is too bulky and does not wind up on the reel well. I scrapped it and went to the hardware store and bought a length of 1/8" cable that is just long enough to serve my purposes. I don't need to fight any excess cable. It I could have gotten away with it, I would have purchased nylon rope, but the tension limits were not high enough for my needs at the diameter I would have preferred. Once you have the hoist mounted into the receiver on the back of your truck, it is tippy. You cannot improvise anti-tipping measures without compromising the function of the hoist, so you have to hold the mast from tipping one way or the other while you run the crank that lifts your heavy object up above the level of your tailgate, then you can swing the platform 180 degrees into the bed of the truck. One other thing. The assembly is an odd duck and does not store well, unless you do as I did. I got a chain with a clasp on one end, threw it over a rafter in the garage and through the top of the hoist, then I raised it up so it dangles in a part of the garage where it won't interfere with my garage use.It is what it is. There are more expensive solutions, but for the money, then is a good solution.

Nice idea cheap materials
My title sums it up. I like the idea of it. The crank worked well. But under 350 lbs the thin walled tubing buckels when swiviling.Kind of underwhelmed.

cheaply made
it says 500 lb capacity cant even hold 200lbs. junk!

Heavy duty, and well made
This hitch mounted game hoist is very well made, and heavy duty. Assembly was simple enough, I tested it by lifting an outboard motor and it performed flawlessly. I have no doubts that it will serve it's intended purpose when needed.

This is very heavy-duty
This is fairly easy to assemble. It's well made and should provide many years of use.
