Great chopping board.
Great chopping board, built to last and can be polished enough times to always look new. It's no lightweight but looks good indoor and outdoors.

Stunning chopping board
This is a big, thick, really heavy chopping board, that is 7cm thick. It is really heavy, at 8kg.The wood looks stunning, and it is very beautiful teak wood. Especially after cleaning, the grain in the wood really pops and it looks so nice.It is a luxury having such a large shopping board as there is so much space to use. Although the quality is great, there is a small defect in the surface of my board. It is very small knot that, but a bit annoying, and I'm not sure if there are an sanitation issue with the board at that spot and I don't think it will be completely clean after washing. As it is so large, is makes it difficult to clean in the sick. My tap is on a hose and can come out and move about which makes it a bit easier, but without it, it would be very difficult to wash it in the sink, and would need cleaning in place on the counter. It can't be picked up to scape chopped food off because it is so heavy. Therefore food needs to be picked off the board before transferring to a pot/off the board, which can be a bit of a pain with finely chopped vegetables. The board isn't perfectly flat and so it does sometimes move or rotate when used. I use a wet towel under it t stop it moving on these occasions. It really is a luxury item, and it is amazing to use but as it is so large it wouldn't be practical in a small kitchen. It would however, also make an amazing serving board.

Wow!
Wow! (if I could just use one word for this item review that would be it)This is beautiful, billed primarily as a chopping board but purely on aesthetics this could well be a standalone piece of table decor. This wood slab is heavy, coming in around 8kg you’re not going to want to be lifting it too often and you’ll need to ensure you have room on your work/counter top given its 50cm circumference. It is deep enough to stand/lean against a wall, but I’d be wary of doing so, better to keep it flat. There are recessed ‘grab’ sections on 2 sides to help make it easier to lift/move.The design is mimicked on the underside. There aren’t any ‘juice’ grooves, not a major issue just something to be mindful of if prepping squishy things! Also, given its weight lifting/tipping it to transfer chopped foods to a pan etc could be tricky/impractical.The wood is flat with a textured feel, there are some (natural) micro splits & imperfections in the wood.If you’re intending to use this for regular food prep then as noted in the sales info a food grade oil or wax occasionally could help preserve the wood. Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth, don’t use anything abrasive. *It maybe too large/awkward to fit in your sink!If you can work around the weight practicalities, which I think is the only (potentially) slight negative then this is a wonderful useful, durable & attractive addition to the kitchen or home.I’m unsure at the moment how I’ll mainly use this, as although I chose it for kitchen prep and as a bread cutting board, I’m leaning towards using it as stand for a coffee machine & accompanying accessories given it’s such a visually stunning piece, but this will also work as a static serving board for nibbles, cheese & crackers etc, when we have guests. The board comes in a plain brown box, no additional info/instructions inside as to use options or maintenance. As I said earlier... wow!

Weighty, high-quality, and beautifully finished; seams between the wood pieces are tight well-bonded
The butcher's block has a silky smooth surface with a captivating pattern, where each piece is uniquely defined by its grain and warm hues, ranging from soft amber to rich golden butterscotch. Thoroughly sanded and expertly treated, it is smooth to the touch throughout, with edges lightly rounded for added comfort. There are no significant defects such as cracks, knots, or blemishes that could compromise its durability. The seams between the wood pieces are tight and well-bonded, without visible gaps that might trap food particles or moisture. The high-quality finish not only enhances its beauty but also provides extra protection, ensuring it stays smooth and splinter-free over time. Its substantial weight and well-proportioned size make it both a pleasure to use and a stunning addition to my kitchen worktop. The impressive thickness adds to its durability, providing a reliable surface for all my chopping tasks. Although it is heavy, I can easily move when necessary. An added bonus is its reversible design, which means I get double the use out of it, extending its lifespan even further.Made from teak wood, the block benefits from natural oils that resist moisture, rot, warping, and splitting, making it easy to clean and maintain.Though it requires minimal upkeep, I do give it the occasional oiling to keep it in tip-top condition. All in all, I am very pleased with both the quality and aesthetics of this butcher's block and would happily recommend it.

Beautifully made
This is a big heavy chopping board. You need a a good sized area on the kitchen worktop for this. It is beautifully made and superb quality. In fact it's almost tio nice to use as a chopping board. There's no instructions on how to maintain it so it will keep its glory but there's plenty advice on the internet. A lovely piece of workmanship that will serve any kitchen proud

It's huge!
This is more a butcher's block than a chopping board - it is huge and at 8kg quite hard to lift. It looks splendid and is very well finished with a smooth surface and smooth, rounded edges. It's pretty eye-catching in our kitchen. There were no accompanying leaflets at all so no care instructions, and it's not packaged for gifting. The listing says it's suitable as a grazing board but honestly I think it's too big and heavy for that - we are using it as a chopping block in the kitchen. We may add some silicone feet so it doesn't retain water underneath.
