It does the job. It is, however, a pain to fit. You have to completely dismantle the laptop to get it in.for G6 owners search Youtube for this video "HP Pavilion G6 Disassembly for Fan Failure Repair" I couldn't have done it without itOh and buy some thermal paste too!

This fan seems to be working fine.Although if buying for an HP Pavillion g6 laptop beware... its an aboslute nightmare to install.HP have managed to design the laptop so that it requires to be completely dismantled in order to gain access to the fan area.Theres a good video on youtube on how to do it.

Good Fan working well
It is good fan and works very well but it was not the same as the original fan. It has the same shape same size and its better but to install it on the laptop hp pavilion g6 I had to manually secure it by drilling the fan 2 holes to secure it with screws.

A good quality fan at a reasonable price
A good quality fan at a reasonable price. It arrived very quickly too and is now installed and working happily. I usually don't source parts for PC/tablet repairs from anyone other than main suppliers, but this was such good value and so efficiently packed and dfispatched I'm glad that I did.

Probably OK
This looks OK and the price and delivery was fine - but I decided not to risk opening up the laptop and am taking it to PC World for them to sort out the fan under their Whatever Happens scheme.

Not good, but adaptable with improvement.
The photos doesn't match to the product i received.The 4 screws holes are too tight, I have to drill them to not break plastic.The hole to fix the fan to the laptop case is not at the right place, I use adhesive tape to fix it.Try another supplier and pray that i got a good one.
