tastes great; blends well
I have Hashimotos so I have been doing no dairy and no gluten. It was nice to see an option that gave me what i needed. It is pricey but so far it is worth it. Hoping more options come forth so maybe it won't be so expensive? But maybe there is a reason it priced so high. Regardless, it is helping me so it is worth it.

Love the product, hate the price!
I was very excited to find a protein powder that didn't contain any of the things I can't have - whey, gluten, soy, pea protein/legumes. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it tastes too. (I got the vanilla.) It also mixes well in my shaker bottle as long as I don't add ice. However, I just can't get past the fact that it costs me almost $100 a month. That's over $1,000 a year...for protein powder! If the cost to make this truly is that high, that would be understandable. I can't imagine that it cost that much though. I don't see myself paying this much for this product going forward. I found another brand that I'm going to try.

Clean protein- clumps if not well blended.
Is a very clean protein powder. I add to almond milk and frozen fruit or juice for breakfast. However, must be well blended because it tends to clump up and the clumps taste like soggy cereal.

Tastes Not So Good
I am unable to drink this unless I mask the taste with banana which is counter effective when you're trying to watch your carbs. And so this sits unused in my pantry closet because I just missed the return window.

Great protein powder, easy to digest
I have had a lot of digestive issues and haven’t been able to take many protein powders. This one is wonderful, no problems at all.It blends wonderfully in a vita mix blender, and with the few berries and banana the taste is wonderful. Happy customer!

Not transparent/PVC plastic container
After years of hypothyroid research I found Rootcology. The website is brimming with information and I was glad to be able to order my own bloodwork and this protein powder. However, in researching protein powders I’ve learned the importance of third-party unbiased testing to make sure its free from heavy metals (lead, cardamom, arsenic, mercury, and amino spikes). Rootcology has not replied to any of my emails or phone calls. There’s no mention of third-party testing on their website or transparency regarding any studies or testing done to verify the efficacy of their products. I want to be a supporter and continue to use their protein & magnesium, but do not feel it’s safe to do so until they are transparent about what their labels claim. The container doesn’t specify that it’s free of BPA. Rather the container is made by “priority plastics” and is made out of PVC! Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a solid plastic material made from vinyl chloride. It is made softer and more flexible by the addition of phthalates, and can contain traces of chemicals like bisphenol A (BPA). I’m shocked that someone who claims to rid the thyroid of triggers is ok with packaging her products in cancer causing pvc plastics! And the inside of the container is not lined at all. We all know these chemicals leach into the foods they are containing.Aside from third-party testing, if the label is truthful then it’s a product that should be sold at Whole Foods and not just via the internet. The stevia (artificial sweetener) gives it a funky taste. The texture is sticky and clumps when trying to blend into a smoothie or açaí bowl. The container is mostly full of powder. Didn’t bother my stomach. However, after three days I did start to have breakouts along my jaw which is weird considering I’m well past my 30’s. Research shows adult onset acne can be due to toxin buildup in the liver. Not sure if this protein has contaminants not listed.Overall, I can deal with the stevia taste and sticky clumps, but only if it really is what the label claims. For now, I hope Rootcology can do right by all of us searching for pure ingredients to heal our thyroid by providing transparent unbiased third-party test results to ensure we aren’t ingesting heavy metals, BPA’s, plastics or arsenic.Returning this until I can be certain it’s safe!

Just ok
Disliked the taste. It was too sweet for me. Only mixed well in a blender.
