Perfect for a 2-post hydraulic auto lift
I needed to install a lockable shutoff switch on my 2-post hydraulic auto lift, and this switch is perfect for that job. FYI, this item includes the box **and** the switch inside. That wasn't 100% clear to me before buying, so now you know. Feels high quality and works as intended. Highly recommended.

greatest safety devices you can have
i just installed a 2 post auto lift in my home garage & wanted a fast way to shut it down in case of a stuck power switch and YES it can happen. i found the information on You Tube of this switch being wired in line next to his power button . It works perfect & easy to wire up.

Good basic switch
This is a no frills very well made switch suitable for motor control when you don't need an internal fuse to protect the motor from overload, or when there is overload protection on the motor itself. I used it on a 2 hp motor on my 8" jointer. Probably not as safe if there are inquisitive children around as the push button contactor with lockout type switches that ship with new jointers. The toggle and contacts are large and robust, so it should hold up well.
