An herbal energy booster, worth trying.
I just got the Mountain Matter Shilajit from Amazon Prime. I heard about all the benefits of Shilajit recently on the internet. Overall the experience has been great I can sense my energy levels are becoming better. I feel some of the brain-fog I was experiencing has gone down. The packaging of the product was great and the spoon they give along with it is very thoughtful. It is not very tasty. I would definitely get this again.

Himalayan Shilajit Resin
The Shilajit is dispensed in a tiny jar with a screw on lid. This arrived intact and well-sealed. The Shilajit has a gooey tar like texture and has a horrible odor. This comes with a tiny spoon for measuring although it’s not really possible to actually measure this tarry stuff. The Shilajit does break up when mixed with warm water and is best if taken quickly as it tastes as bad as it’s smell. It must really help longevity otherwise I can’t imagine anyone bothering with this stuff! This brand is checked for purity. This has got to be the real stuff, nothing else smells and tastes this bad!

Great product
I’ve been trying many products in this category and this by far has been my favourite. It tastes nicer than most and I’ve been adding to my smoothie. Would definitely recommend.

Oh the taste.....
This isn't the first brand of shilajit I've had, so I have a very hobbyist approach to this stuff. Shilajit isn't supposed to taste good, but it's not supposed to taste horrible. It's an acquired taste that you get used to when taking it.The elephant in the room - the taste. I don't know how to describe the notes of this particular brand, but if I could describe it, it'd be mothballs. I know, right? Not great. The thing that made it worse was that even when mixing it with various other liquids - the taste still broke through and dominated. And to make matters worse, I could not rid the taste from my mouth, and my burps, for hours. But, to stay true to the process, I stuck with it for two weeks and then I had to stop.Pros:It works. If your aware of how shilajit reacts to your body and how it can help, you will notice the effectiveness of this brand. Its potency is there and I appreciated the (sparse) lab results card. The packaging is excellent. This alone saved me from throwing the bottole out with the weekly garbage. A company that cares THIS much about their brand would care enough about the product inside.Good amount that will last you for a couple of months.Cons:The flavorThe tasteThe aftertasteThe aftertaste burpsThe taste

Feel more calm
I add this Shilajat resin to my morning coffee since you need to mix it in something hot and it’s rather salty so the coffee helps to completely mask the earthy salty flavor of this. It does get a bit messy, but i just use a chop stick to extract a pea sized tar-like glob out of the jar. Over time the sticky reside sticks to the jar making closing it difficult. I would prefer another way of administering this as the resin is messy and sticky but i find pleasure in watching it quickly melt in my coffee.Overall I feel more energized and less stressed in the morning when I use this. I like that it is ethically sourced and 100% pure ingredients and not mixed with unnecessary chemicals. I would recommend this to anyone interested in getting the 85 minerals this has as well as and fulvic acid which can be used for allergy relief, hay fever and may help with increased immune response, Alzheimer’s, eczema, cancer, fatigue according to WebMD. (Not a scientific cure just ancillary)

Like a natural multi-mineral supplement, though expensive and an acquired taste
Shilajit is something I hadn't heard of only a few months ago, but after doing a lot of reading about it it's quite the super-supplement. Do your own research as to the health benefits and risks.I suppose it's an acquired taste, but I haven't had any issues with it. The best way I can describe the aroma is warm brakes. Touching the resin with my tongue, it has a molasses-like character. I haven't mixed it with plain water, but dissolved in a cup of coffee I don't really notice it. I pick up a little flavor, but if anything it seems to add a light smokiness to my coffee, which is nice. The only thing that concerns me with this product is the difficulty of getting the right dose. I've erred on the side of too little. The product is well-presented and attractive. I like the branding and design. Mine came with a metal spoon rather than a wood one. The tiny testing certificate information matches the dates and batch number.Overall, I'm happy with this product. I'll continue to use it at a low dose to support my health.

Not the Tastiest Shilajit Ever, But It Seems to Be of Decent Quality
The taste is definitely not the best. I have to say I prefer others. The presentation is first class though and the spoon is something I will keep using for sure. The lab test form is useful for sure. It seems they are trying to give people a product free of harmful things Shilajit can definitely have.I wouldn't say I have noticed a big difference, which I in turn have noticed with another product.I'll see what will happen, but for now it's nothing to write home about.Yet, as far as I can tell it is a decent option.

Beautiful high quality presentation, smells and tastes like burned cigar with decaying matter.
I've tried now 3 brands of shilajit. The first one tasted like burned coffee but it was acceptable. The second one was foul putrid smell and taste. This one does not have a pleasant taste or smell, similar to a burned cigar mixed with decaying matterI am starting to believe that shilajit should not be transported in hot environments (like a delivery truck not air conditioned). The last 2 came warm, and the resin is supposed to be organic material that is usually in colder climates. Also it is difficult to do quality control and consistent testing on resins. The positives:Beautiful packaging and presentation, also includes a very nice golden metal spoon instead of a wood applicator.Distributor based in the USA, there is US number for support. Did not bother to reach. They say it is third party tested... but the tiny certificate ....Can't get past the taste and the potential risks.
