No instructions for use, but very helpful and fun!
This place value set is really helpful! The first time we worked with it my daughter was able to quickly understand what we were doing, and how we needed to move things to different columns. She's going into first grade, and she won't be doing that kind of math for a while, but it'll help her stay ahead of the curve, and will help to solidify the concept of place values, which is a foundational skill. We were able to figure out a fun game with the set, even though there weren't instructions, and she wanted to keep playing! That seems like a win to me!The 4-star rating is due to the lack of instructions on how to effectively use the set.

Hands on learning
This magnetic regrouping chart is such a great way to help children learn math while having fun! I love that it's magnetic so you don't have to worry if the paper moves and now all of your stuff moved everything just stay still where it was put. Anytime there is an opportunity for hands-on learning for children I think we should take it! It really helps them retain what they're learning when they can have an activity to do with it! This would be great for any classroom setting whether in a school or even for homeschooling! It would also be a great help with homework at home!

Great for visual learners.
The Regrouping Base Ten Place Value Addition and Subtraction Math gives kids multiple ways to see how groupings are done and what is necessary when carrying numbers over. My son had a bit of an issue with 1s and 10s and carrying numbers over into the next column. This seems to help him get a visual and get a small grasp on the concept of what we are working on. This is a great tool for homeschooling or enrichment. The left side lays out the math problem and the right gives him dots to focus on to see a visual break down of the math problem. It's dry erase and magnetic. The set includes colored dot markers that say their place value for 1s, 10s, and 100s, it comes with a dry erase marker, and a set of colored dice that corelate with the columns to create math problems for solving. I like that everything has a specific color so it's easy for kids new to the base 10 to understand and see what is happening. Highly recommend!

Can't wait to use it!
I'm switching to teaching first-graders next school year. This set should come in handy for that! I always enjoy adding visuals to the learning process. Great find!

Great for homeschooling!
My children are homeschooled and this is a great math resource for them. The charts are thick and sturdy magnets and so are the pieces. Everything sticks well. They are easy to write on and easy to clean. The included dice are a nice touch. My only complaint is that the yellow die is meant to go with the 10's place magnets but they are orange and not yellow like the die. (See photos) It's still a great and very useful set. Would definitely recommend.

Great classroom resource!
Came exactly as shown. Magnets are sturdy and stick well. Marker wipes off easily. It is actually 2 magnets that can sit side by side to make 1 larger looking mat. 3 dice included to play. They are color coded but the 10s look orange and the dice is yellow (see photo). The dice have the 6 and 9 underlined which is a nice touch for kids!
