This rake works good! We were able to catch sand fleas and use them for bait to fish on the beach. And it was fun for everyone to see who can catch more sand fleas, but you gotta make sure you know when to catch them. I would definitely recommend this product for all fisherman/fisherwoman! It’s sturdy and strong and it helps that it also comes with a rake and a little bucket.

This scoop is well made and much larger than I was expecting. The handle is strong, with a few lug nuts you could make it so that it is easy to disassemble so that it doesn't take up a lot of space. The basket is strong and the teeth on the basket make it easier to dig into the sand. The collapsible bucket and small scoops are an added bonus.

We haven’t gone out with this yet, but it is very sturdy/heavy duty. My kiddos are excited to get out and use it.

I don't know about a "sand flea" rake, but I have a big chicken coop with sand substrate, and this is working fantastically in removing the chicken poop from the sand. Gone are the days of scooping poo with a 4 inch cat box scooper. It took me FOREVER to clean the sand in my chicken coop - especially in this heat.Now, it takes a few minutes to run this rake thru my coop twice a month (or as needed), and with the wide basket - it takes fewer passes to get the coop clean - not to mention that the holes in this rake are smaller than those in a cat poop scooper. The chicken poop always fell between the cracks with the cat scoop. Not with this rake. The holes are pea sized, small enough to catch all the poop, but big enough to let the cleaned sand to fall thru.I wouldn't suggest using this rake for smaller chicken coops, but if your coop is bigger than 8' x 8' - you will appreciate how clean your sand gets, and how little time it takes to clean the coop.Can be used outside the coop, to clean the chicken dust bath areas too. because as we all know, chickens aren't particular as to where they poop.The rake was packed well, instructions were clear, and it took me 15 minutes to put together. It doesn't wiggle or wobble when you get it all together, it feels like a TOOL that is substantial and will possibly last years with proper care.I highly advise to wear gloves. The edges on the basket are sharp! I cut myself twice before I wised up and put my gloves on.

I have two modes for spending time at the beach. One is bare bones, basically sunglasses and a water-bottle for long walks, and the other is pretty much setting up camp for the long haul. I volunteer with a local environmental agency to watch over sea turtle nests as they near their hatch date. This is an overnight assignment in a very buggy area. Part of our protocols are to smooth out the sand in the designated "runway" for the baby turtles, filling in crab holes, getting the bigger bits of seagrass, leaves and any trash out of the sand, and generally making it an easier time for dashing to the water for the babies. This sand flea rake is just perfect for the task. And it comes in handy for making a nice level surface for setting up my tent nearby as well. I have to carry all my gear in on foot, sometimes over a mile from the beach access, so I am careful about selecting things to go in my kit. This rake is worth the space and weight. It makes a sticky night a little more comfortable, and anything that gives the turtles an edge is worth it to me.

This sand flea rake is very well made and feels solid in use. The handle does not flex or wiggle like some others I have owned. The stainless steel plays into that as some others are aluminum and tend to flex or bend under hard use.The basket is also nicely made and the openings in it are the perfect size to allow water and sand to flow out but the sand fleas stay in it.The included bonus items are nice but don't buy this for them... buy it because the rake is quality and will last for years.

I use sand fleas for fishing and they can get pricey. Especially towards the end of the season when they get scarce. A sand flea rake can also be pricey at the big box stores ( I will not mention any names'), but this kit comes it at about the same price point for just the rake and also comes with a hand held rake ( its VERY sharp so be careful), a sifter shovel, a regular shovel, and a collapsible bucket. I'm pretty sure my son will steal my bucket.. haha, but that ok. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble and I had it together in under 10 minutes and that includes getting it out of the box. Now I can collect the sand fleas I need and salt preserve them for when I want them. I easily recommend this product.

I did not expect this rake to be as big as it looked in the picture! It’s enormous!! Very sturdy, made out of strong stainless steel. The handle is also well made. The accompanying tools are great too. We were looking for something to use to search for shark’s teeth at the beach … we might end up with the entire shark!
