Sun Globes Tanning Bed Eyewear 1 Pr Random Color

I bought a pair of these about 10 years ago, and they lasted until now! Hopefully this pair will last just as long.

These are the classic, no frills (and no-line) eye protection for tanning. They work fine if used as intended. I'm not sure how this isn't common knowledge, but you're not supposed to open your eyes in a tanning bed, even if you have eye protection on. XD Of course it will fry your eyes if you're laying there staring off with your eyes open. This type of eye pro is utilized, because your eyelids aren't strong enough on their own to protect your eyes from the lights in that tanning bed.

Well, I used these maybe 5 or 6 times in the past week and a half and noticed yesterday afternoon that the center protector of one fell out. Have no idea where it is and it renders this eye protection useless. The plastic itself is cheap —maybe $0.29 worth—maybe not that much. I was a little shocked when I opened the package. The thought crossed my mind that they seemed like something you would find in a toy machine for a quarter. And, while I have never used a tanning bed (and never Intend to), when using them to suntan outdoors, even with my eyes closed—I was shocked to feel the brightness of the sun through them. How much were they really protecting my eyes? That’s my review, and I’m sticking to it.

They're pretty good. They will protect your eyes and are very minimalist. They are NOT for stand up booths (At least not as is).I give these a 4 instead of 5 for 2 reasons.They're supposed to be used with gaskets according to the documentation but I can't find them anywhere and the seller hasn't contacted me back after an initial conversation. Thus they don't quite secure down and can start moving with strong fan wind or turns of the head.Second, Yellow is not a good color for these as they get really bright and can be kind of obnoxious making it hard to see in bed controls.

The lens on one of them fill out. It's amazing how something that's not even used but just supposed to be glued into a pocket of sorts just falls out. How difficult can it be to provide adhesive or something to keep these rather tiny very lightweight lenses from falling out the high shield surround?

The media could not be loaded. Understandably you get what you pay for, but I was expecting to be able to lay in the sun without having to put a big hat on or sunglasses and get a tan line on my nose. Sadly, with these I was only able to lay in the sun for thirty seconds with bright orange eyes. Super fun(sarcastic). Waste of a few bucks and does not work for outdoor tanning, at least in the orange color. Might paint the inside of them so I don't have to buy more. I did like that they have a little plastic case and you can mostly ignore them when tanning.
