Dongle
The 3Dconnexion mouse is very good and extremely precise, especially for 3D work. It greatly improves navigation and overall productivity. The only downside is the USB receiver (dongle), as there is no dedicated place to store it, which creates a risk of losing it. I am currently using the Bluetooth connection, which works very well and avoids this issue.

Built by someone who likes to do things right
This is my first space mouse. I should have bought one years ago. It's built so solidly, the software works very well. It makes 3D cad so much easier. I do wish the driver was more versatile, but for a professional's tool, it's so very well done. I like the smaller unit for desk space, but I'm not a full time designer so I value the space over the keyboard. I don't even use the two buttons on it to their full potential, but mapping one to be a ctrl for Solidworks is a gamechanger. If you CAD a lot, just get it. Or build your own. Either way.

A must have
Didn't take long to get the hang of it. Now I can't do without it. Great little aid to 3D drawing. Feels like a quality product.

nice piece of kit, and worth the price if you 3D CAD all day...
I picked one up on a whim hoping it would alleviate some of the stress on my right wrist while cad-ing, but in practice I didn't use it enough to make a difference. I ended up returning it, but I did like it... it just wasn't worth the price for the occasional use I would give it. (I have too many alternative input devices that didn't work for me laying around and I couldn't bear to add to the pile. Trackballs, LEAP motion, macro pads, pen tablet... I just keep falling back to mouse and keyboard.) The hardware feels lovely: base is super heavy, grippy and solid; the cap/joystick/thing feels durable despite being lightweight and easy to manipulate; pleasing fit and finish overall. It wasn't too hard to get used to moving around with it. It has plenty of sensitivity and it's easy to adjust to fit your tastes. It just works in most software with little setup. I even got it to work with Tinkercad via a Chrome plugin. It comes with a quality zipper case, cable, dongle and nice (but not too overdone) packaging. The software, while feature-rich, feels a teeny bit wonky on Windows - for instance, the uninstaller failed on me and I had to run it a few times before it worked. That nice, heavy base is a burden if you want to actually bring this thing around with you. My bag already weighs plenty, thanks. The wired one is probably fine for most folks with a desktop or dock, unless you're obsessed with having a cable-free desktop. So yeah, if you're working in CAD all day and want to move your camera around with your free hand, this is for you! Otherwise, I don't think it's worth the cost for most casual designers.

Worth every penny.
Essential for cad/cam. Plug and play with fusion 360. Saves so much time and frustration with moving your model around. Heavy base, comes with a case, and easy to use.

Can't live without it.
Works well when using the appropriate driver. Setip can be tedious if you need to use an older driver.

Well worth it!
I use the enterprise model at my desk and this is my travel mouse. Highly recommended for solid modeling!

Awesome, but very expensive
This thing is awesome. I have been drawing in 3D AutoCAD for 10 years and just bought this mouse. I am still learning how to use it, there is a very steep learning curve to it. I have gotten very good at using it to move around building drawings and large assemblies. I still think that it is easier to use 3D orbit to move around smaller parts and assemblies, but I am trying to adjust. It is heavy enough to not move around on the desk and the case it comes with has kept it protected in the backpack. It is wildly expensive, but the build quality seems high, it should be interesting to see how it lasts over time. I do not use the function buttons on the side, but I would be interested to try out the larger versions and see if I would use them on those.

The price is absurd but this thing changes the game if you do frequent CAD work. It's great.

Facilita mucho el trabajo en cada. Es menos cansado para la mano, por lo que se mitigan daƱos en la mano a largo plazo causado por el uso de ratones convencionales.

I bought wired one before. and love it. So I bought it for my laptop PC.
