Sous Vide Container Sleeve For The Rubbermaid 12 Quart container (Black), Sous Vide Neoprene Sleeve

Fits well but I tore the Mylar lining along the back seam, neoprene outside was ok though. My fault for pulling too hard to to line up the handle cutout. Still works fine and helps to muffle the noise of the sous vide pump and circulating water!!

Liked it since it is a good insulation system. But, it is difficult to take it off the container in order to dry any water spelt between it and the container. When I had to take it of, some of the stitches were open.So for short periods up to 4 hours I don't use it. For long periods I do.

Does not fit the Rubbermaid 12 quart container as pictured. I struggled to get the sleeve partially on. I could hear the sleeve ripping and the foil liner coming apart. This is the second that I ordered...the first never arrived. I should have moved on after the first damaged delivery issue.

It does it's job, but doesn't fit my Rubbermaid 12 qt container perfectly. The front (where the see-through window is) slumps down a bit and the neoprene doesn't reach the lip of the container. It's about 1cm below the lip. The back side (opposite of the window) fits much better. The sides have openings for the handles that are okay--they mostly line up. I don't know if I am being extra fussy, but I expected it to fit better. Maybe I got a defective one. It does smell pretty strongly of neoprene, but it has not stained any of my cutting boards (I didn't dare put it on my counters) like the black ones seem to do.

Fits Rubbermaid 12qt perfectly with lid. Insulation is a great complement to its good looks. Window is useful for occasional monitoring. Great product.

For the price, it is better than the other sleeves because it has the foil lining.That being said, the foil lining is very fragile (minus one star). It tore in two spots while I was just trying to pull the sleeve onto the container (neoprene stretches, foil tears). Knowing that up front, I would have been more careful trying to pull it over the container. It is still usable, just irritated that it is brand new with a couple of rips.The best way to install this, is probably to get the edges on the container, and push (rather than pull up like socks) the neoprene up the sides. It is a little more cumbersome, but the foil probably won't rip.

Does really hold the heat and uses less energy.
