I was changing a water pump on the Escalade and tried to remove the factory hose clamps with channel locks and knipex pliers. I destroyed the clamp and decided to get these pliers to remove the hoses. It turns out that I didn't need the long cable pliers so I can't say how well they work in a tight spot. I did play with them afterward and they worked and ratcheted just fine. The short pair fit and I used them to remove all of the clamps. I tried the hose separator pliers and fell in love. I've always broken the bond with a screwdriver and twisted the hose off but these saved all of the twisting and damage to the plastic radiator. The pliers seem to be good quality, but the screwdriver is laughable. Replace that and you will have a quality set for sure.

These things here are pretty on time. They do what it's supposed to. I got sick of using channel locks and vice grips on OEM style hose clamps. Really really really tired of it. Bending clams making them unable to fully open, sometimes even breaking crap trying to get clamps off. Things like evap purge valves and hard plasticvac lines. If I did this for a living, I would likely buy better. I can see where these are likely inferior to say a snap on set. I'll bet if the offer is set like this it's likely over 500 dollars if you're lucky. For the hobbiest or backyard mechanic I think they'll last you as long as you want to be pulling hoses off vehicles. The pick tool is fair, screwdriver is crap but the one tool the one with the cable, that one alone is worth the cost of this kit. Once I received these, I went out and familiarized myself with their operation and hit the go button. Just over 8 minutes to pull every hose off the vehicle. 9 or 10 hoses. Yeah, what's up with that. I know I've spent 10 minutes on a single clamp before trying to get it off with channel locks.

I've used some of these pliers and they are good, they will do 90% of the job and with a little elbow grease you'll be 100% complete.The long reach pliers were my only concern, I was using them today to get to a hard to reach area and they have out. The rest of the tools are good so far.The company did reach out to me and figure out the issue I had and they were able to fix it, so kudos to them for having great customer support reps.They are good for the diy'er and home mechanic, and for the price, you'll be hard to find another set like it. I would recommend buying from Betooll because of their customer support and willingness to work with customers having issues with the product.
