A nice daily use or guest china set. Porcelain china not ceramic. Porcelain is more durable whereas ceramic chips more easily. Nice designs as each piece has subtle, different but subdued designs. I prefer the mug over the cup and saucer that some other sets offer as who uses a teacup and saucer anymore? A smaller fruit or icee cream bowl and a cereal or other use, larger bowl. The plate size is perfect as is the smaller salad plate.Very well packaged and not a chip! We prefer this to our much more expensive dinner set.

These are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. Grown-up, all white, dinnerware. But definitely not boring. I adore the art deco like designs.The order arrived very well packaged. Not a crack or chip.

This set was just what I was looking for: pretty AND lightweight. My previous set of dishes were big, bulky, & so heavy I thought I would pop a tendon in my wrist. These are perfect.The white-on-white design is artsy and chic; I love it.*One small issue I noticed is that I was a bit heavy-handed when stirring butter into my oatmeal and marked the bottom of a bowl with my spoon. No big deal, just something to be aware of.I may buy another set so that I have replacements on-hand should I break or damage any pieces.

I bought an eight place serving set a few months ago for myself, at Costco and just love it. When I found out that mydaughter-in-law didn't have nice china, I went on Amazon and found this perfect set. After reading negativereviews, I decided to let you know that there were no chips or discolorations and it is perfect. Thank you.

I've had these dishes for a few months. They couldn't have been packaged better and they are very cool, however, they chip rather easily, which is unfortunate. I haven't found a place where I can replace individual pieces, which Mikasa should make available.

Omg the set is amazing and just what I was looking for for everyday use. It’s lightweight, durable and microwave safe. You get a lot for your $$ as it is a set for 8 with extra little bowls. Love the plain white with minimalist design. Highly recommend. Came packaged to protection.

I loved the patterns and the fact that it had the small bowls. Plates are light weight. I got mad because I chipped one while doing dishes, entirely my fault, because they are very sturdy

Dishes arrived on time and none were broken which I had read some reviews they received broken dishes so I was happy that mine were all in one piece. Packaged well and designs are super cute

Great for everyday or special dinners.One plate just snapped in half while holding it with a plateful of good. So disappointed and puzzled. Too expensive to have this happen.
