they are ok.
I don't use torx to often. But ford uses them to hold their seats and seat belts down as well as gm using them for seat belts. I use these maybe once every few months and they have held up well until the last use. I grabbed the t55 and went to remove the rear seat in my f350 and I got through 2 bolts and it sheared off on the third. Kinda disappointing as I had to go to auto zone and drop the same amount that I spent on this whole set for one socket. Oh well.

good enough for government use as they say
I've been using these pretty much every day for the last year or so and haven't had any major problems with them. ATD is usually a decent tool manufacturer. not the best, but not the worst either. I've used them to take off rusted and seized brake caliper mounting bolts and they held up. I broke one taking off a stubborn bolt but had it warrantied easily through my local Auto Value store.

Great set
Normally I opt for Craftsman tools due to life time warranty, however I could not find any good torx bit sets. This has just about everything I need for my Jeep Wrangler. The bits themselves are long enough to go with the socket that holds it. Each bit is 1 unit, so you have no worries of it falling out of your driver, like the old set I still have. I recommend this.

seems like not very good quality metal
I would give 5 star, but 1 bit broke off... seems like not very good quality metal.

this set is equivalent to my Snap-On set but like $250 cheaper
I left my Snap-On set underneath the hood of a car one day, and the lady came back with the case with nothing in it.... this set is equivalent to my Snap-On set but like $250 cheaper. Good job ATD

Essential for the automotive do-it-yourselfer
Sooner or later, a Torx bolt or screw will turn up on almost every automobile or truck including my '94 Ford Ranger. Only a Torx bit will do. These tools are good value for the money - not the best but certainly of good quality and the size range is comprehensive.

T55 Bit
In short, everything seemed promising. The package was delivered on time, and the bits seemed to be exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, the T55 bolt sheared during the first use. It was a specifically stubborn bolt, however using a standard ratchet with no extensions or breaker bars, I would not have expected the bit to shear like it did. I'd like to think that this is an isolated incident, however I personally intend to invest in a more rugged bit for the application
