If you need some air flow, as well as some nice, bright lighting, and you have a working overhead light fixture in that area, then this item could very well be what you need?!This socket fan was very easy to assemble, as other than preparing my bathroom fixture for the installation (removing the globe and bulb), inserting the fan blades into place is literally all that I had to do before screwing this into the fixture's socket. This also comes with a socket extender, if you need, or would like, for this fan to hang a bit lower. Once I got it snuggly screwed in, I flipped on the light switch and, VOILA---I that easily and quickly now had a ceiling fan installed in our bathroom!This socket fan/light came with a remote control that allows for the control of the unit’s overall power, as well as the power to the light and fan individually. With the remote control you can also adjust the fan’s speed and lighting (many various options), as well as set a timer (2 setting options). The included instructions do cover the use and features of the remote control. The fan, especially on the 2 highest settings, does provide very adequate air flow, imho, especially for something this small and simplistic to install and use, and the LED light is more than enough for the area that we are using it in---the light can get quite bright!Note: The remote control, at first, appeared to not be functioning properly, but apparently this was only a bit of a learning curve for me, as I now believe that I have figured it out. I just make certain to aim the remote at the fan and to not be so quick to press and release the buttons. The lighting adjustment buttons can also be held down until the desired light setting has been reached, if you’d prefer to adjust the lighting in that manner. Additionally, the remote control requires 2 AAA batteries, and they were not included.In conclusion, I must say that I’m very pleased and satisfied with this socket fan to date—a very thoughtful and useful item!Please see my pics for some good visuals of this fan.

I recently ordered this ceiling fan. Despite being just over a foot wide, it moves a surprising amount of air. Installation was a breeze—literally—as it was as simple as unscrewing a light bulb and screwing the fan in once the blades were snapped on. The light itself is sufficiently bright. I’m currently using this fan in my tool room, where I typically have no air flow at all, and it’s doing an excellent job of keeping the air circulated. As summer winds down, I’m starting to appreciate the remote that came with the fan even more. It will be incredibly useful for adjusting the breeze when the temperature drops and the tool room needs less airflow. This fan has proven to be a practical and efficient solution for my needs.

This is a decent socket fan for the price point and functions as described. It's strengths outweigh it's limitations, both described below.Strengths:1.) Three fan settings move the expected amount of air for it's size, reasonably quietly at all settings (more on that later).2.) Three true-to-color temp settings satisfy particular preference.3.) Light level adjustability from surgical bright to mood-light dim.4.) Intuitive remote functions with 2 and 4 hour timer modes not found on some other socket fans.5.) Recalls the last setting when switched on using the remote on/off button.Limitations:1.) It doesn't recall the last setting when the wall switch is used. Instead, regardless which state last used, it sequentially cycles through three modes with each wall switch cycle: High fan/no light, high fan/high intensity cool light, and high intensity cool light only. Use the remote exclusively to avoid this. If you want wall switch recall, another model which costs 1.5X more provides this.2.) The fan blade rotor mount wobbles - not the fan body, nor the socket into which the fan was installed. The vibration is isolated to the rotating part of the fan. It's not extreme, nor does it (thankfully) transmit up to the socket where it could cause eventual disconnection issues, but that may because I installed it into a very firm socket. But the vibration is cyclically audible cycle at low speed, and overall adds more noise at all speeds than my 1.5X more expensive socket fan that doesn't vibrate at all installed into the same socket.3.) It arrived with some goop on the fan body. The goop removed with goo-gone.Overall, this socket fan is a decent buy. Like all socket fans, don't install them into anything but a firmly fixed socket, especially this fan which has some vibration.

For the size these are quite powerful, though no where near old ones that are much larger in fan span. These bulbs shine brightly, and can be controlled independently. The fan is quite powerful at the highest setting and it is noisy, and gets noisier the higher the speed setting. After a while you might get used to the buzzing, as the amount of air that it throws out more than compensates for the noise level, especially if you are already in a noisy environment. It is not like a big fan that can cover a whole area in a room. Being a small fan, relatively speaking, it covers a decent area, if people are sitting around its area. However, it blows air well enough for its size. The remote is easy to use, and the settings are helpful. I have had one of these go on me already. Not sure if the remote went or the receiver on the fan went. But now I can only turn the light on or off. The remote seems to be of average quality. The Arrivtech Socket Fan Light is a godsend for any person who wants to join practicality and efficiency in perfect matrimony. Easy to install, just screwing into a regular light socket, this combination fan and light is perfect for any small to medium-sized rooms. Compact in size, it provides powerful air flow, while the LED light has three color temperatures that will suit any mood. The handheld remote does increase convenience by allowing the user to change the fan speed or adjust the light from any distance. It might not work too well in large spaces, just like larger and more powerful ceiling fans, but it does offer ease of use and is very cheap if used in a small area or as an additional cooling device.

I did not know that these kinds of ceiling fans existed, where they install directly in a standard light socket. There is no wiring needed, no holes to drill or heavy fans to install. It works well, pushes a decent amount of air for a small room and has a simple wireless remote control.The fan needs to be assembled but thankfully this just takes a few seconds. The 5 blades need to be installed, and are secured with an obvious clicking sound. This is important to ensure that the fan blades do not fly off while spinning. The wireless remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). An extension is provided to allow the fan to sit lower, or to be installed in sockets recessed in the ceiling. I used the extension to have the fan sit lower, to feel more airflow. It just needs to be screwed in to a standard light socket, just like a regular light bulb.The LED light on the fan can be adjusted for brightness and color temperature. The center button the remote allows you to adjust between the 3 standard color temperatures (warm white, day time and very cool blue). There are buttons to finely adjust the color temperature to your liking, as well as the brightness. Other buttons on the remote allow turning the light and fan on or off, as well as changing between the 3 fan speeds. Finally, there are buttons for 2-hour and 4-hour timers. Note that this fan is meant to be installed on a light switch that will always stay on. This may be an issue if you have more than one light controlled by the light switch, resulting in those other lights staying on.The wireless remote works well when aimed at the sides instead of directly under the fan. I find the fan to be extremely quiet when running, with only the wind effect making noise. For the size of the fan, it does a good job at pushing air. It is meant for bedrooms or home offices and really does the job for me in my home office. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I hear a very high pitched sound emanating from the fan, even when the light is off. When the light is on, the whine gets louder as I adjust the brightness. I do not hear it when at my desk since it is in the corner of the room, however I do hear it as I walk underneath the fan. Otherwise, I love this little fan and think it is a great and simple way to get comfortable airflow.
