Perfect for preschool age
We have a lot of books about Día de los Muertos and this is by far the favorite for my 3 year old. We brought it to her preschool on the day she and I shared about our culture and traditions with her class and it was a hit. Very accessible with few words on each page but nice rhyme and inclusion of Spanish words mixed in. Beautiful colorful illustrations. Gives a good overview of the variety of types of celebrations that happen on DDLM. Highly recommend for young kids.

Super easy read and easy to introduce the holiday Dia De Los Meurtos. Quick ship. Easy read-aloud.

Fun to Read Together!
My 3 1/2 year old found this at the library and was very excited by the cover: "Mommy, can we get this skeleton book?" I, being a former goth-y 80's metalhead, encourage the love of the macabre in my young children, strange as it may seem, so we took it home and both my daughters LOVED reading it and looking at the colorful illustrations, but especially my younger one (who found it). We read it over and over again, and she had EVERY word memorized by the 3rd day. I knew returning it to the library would be a problem, so I ordered it from Amazon so she would have her own copy. The cutest thing is listening to her say the Spanish words in the text. At the end, she yells out "El Dia de los Muertos!" and claps her hands. I can't say that EVERY kid would love it, but mine definitely do, and I love reading it with them.

Great book
Book was wonderful with very limited words. Students got to use the pictures as clues to what was happening. Lots of sound words, that would go with a unit on onomatopoeia as well.

Kids loved this one!
I’m Mexican, so I bought this book for a special reading at my kids schoo grades K, 1st and 2nd, they all loved the book and they totally understood the concept of the Día de muertos, of course it helped that I brought along some delicious dulce de leche lollipops. Even the teachers were engaged.

Excellent book for day of the dead lesson in elementary school classes
This was a fun book with lots of colorful illustrations. I would say that it is more for kinder through second graders, but it did a great job of holding their attention and opening up a conversation about Day of the Dead. I am planning on incorporating into our yearly lesson every Oct/Novo

Not a toddler story book
I bought this for my 2 year old to read to her at Halloween/Dias de los muertos. Probably better for 'learning to read' but my daughter is no where near that point.

Good info about day of the dead at the back ...
Good info about day of the dead at the back of the book but the story is nothing interesting acttually there is no story. Great if you want to introduce your 1 year old to the concept of the day of the dead.
