Dave's Pet Food Grain Free Wet Cat Food (Shredded Chicken in Gravy), Made in Canada Naturally Healthy Canned Cat Food, 13.2 oz Cans (Case of 12)

With the increased pricing of all food including pet food, I was sure Dave's Pet Food, new on the market, would have something wrong with it. Generally, my cats will simply refuse to eat junk pet foods made every tom, dick and harry. But the labeling appears to be accurate in its claims and ingredients, and the price is about half what others are charging. In fact the pricing is what we were paying before corporate greed doubled all our expenses. I have seven indoor-outdoor cats, and every single one of them ate and enjoyed the food. In fact a few of them scarfed it. I like that the ingredients are wholesome and not fillers. I work with rescues and have experienced many pet food types and 100s of cat reactions to various foods. I hope Dave's Pet Food sticks around and doesn't become greedy with pricing. I've recommended this food to many of my elderly friends with cats that live on fixed incomes. Definitely five stars and a thumbs up.

The company was kind enough to offer me a refund with the return of the product. I used ONE can to find out neither of my cats will eat this food.

The ingredient list looked good, my 8 year old cat would not eat it. She sniffed as if interested, but then walked away. We tried for several days, but no luck, each can got the same bad results. I kept it "for emergencies" which came in the form of Hurricane Helene in Sept 2024. Amazon was due to deliver my "subscribe & save" regular cat food on Sept 30th but did not deliver it until October 17th. The stores were out of cat food (the whole cat food & litter aisle was completely empty) so I tried feeding kitty the Dave's again, but even hungry, she wouldn't eat it. Saw in another review the Dave's company offered a refund so I will try that route.

My cat was not a huge fan of this for some reason, and usually he loves shredded duck + chicken food.

My picky cat likes this food and it’s cheaper than other foods of equal quality. My only complaint is that I appreciate the fact that there are different flavors but I wish they’d do a variety pack so you don’t have to buy several different boxes to get more than one flavor.

This sounded like a great quality food for cats. Smells great to me, and looks almost like shredded meat in sauce. Not sure what my cats did not like, but they refuse to eat it. Tried different things, like adding dry food, or mixing with another wet food - no luck.I already used several cans from the package, so unable to return. What to do? Gave it to a stray cat outside. She must be hungry, she will eat anything, right? She ate about two bites and left the rest.Not sure what the problem is, but cannot recommend.
