On picking the first brambles today my husband was very disappointed to find every berry was "mocked" with raspberry beetle
We bought 2 of these traps and extra refills.Especially in the spring many small bugs were lured in to the traps but we didn't know if they were raspberry beetle or not. On picking the first brambles today my husband was very disappointed to find every berry was "mocked" with raspberry beetle. There was no improvement on last year when we didn't use traps.It looks like all the plants are damaged again. Waste of time and a lot of money on very expensive lures!!

Dissapointing - no beetles caught so far
No instructions included other than some incomplete ones on the box which made assembly and installation difficult. Contacted supplier by email and received a quick and comprehensive reply which helped - thanks for that. However, I installed it at the beginning of May and it's now end of May and I'm sure that I haven't trapped any beetles. This is very disappointing as I was plagued with the grubs last year and this was a relatively expensive piece of kit. If I have lots of grubs in the fruit this summer, I doubt if I will spend £10 on a new lure for next season and my conclusion will be that this just didn't work.

you are better off getting a plastic bottle cut holes in and hang that up with the attractant in

Works well.
Caught lots of little beetles but not all of them. But will continue for a few years in the hope of eradicating them completely. Quite satisfying each week to find the little pests in the trap. Handy that you can buy the refills from now on and save some money.
