OspreyUnisex Hikelite 18 Hiking Pack (pack of 1)

I wanted this for cycling as I can often disappear for hours. This bag is held away from the back by a tensioned mesh which is really good at reducing back sweat. I fitted it with an aquapack without issue as it has a well covered hole for the drinking tube, a pocket to hold the water bag and restraints to hold the tube to the straps and out of the way whilst riding or walking. I put cycling tools, pump and spare inner tube in the main bag with my art equipment and still had some space. The front pocket was generous too and I kept a few items in one of the side pockets (one either side) which I think are designed for water bottles. I had a very comfortable day out.I have also used it to commute on my bike to work with a change of clothes, shoes and a laptop. I only just managed to get it all in the bag, with a microfabric towel for shower. It was still a comfortable ride.I have a larger backpack for days away and a smaller one for quick journeys. This backpack is comfortable and just right for commuting to work and a day out somewhere.The quality of the bag is excellent and it is well designed for my needs.

I've had my trusty Vango day sack for over 10 years and it's never let me down. But the time came for an upgrade.I decided on the osprey because of their reputation.I used it yesterday for the first time on a 17 mile hike in the Peak District, in 30° heat. I fitted everything that I might need for the day with ease, and as it has the capacity to hold a 2 litre hydration bag was a big plus. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is, even wit my gear in it and 3 litres of water, it was no problem, I could barely feel it on my back. It's easy to take off and get back on when you have a rest too. But I was most impressed with the fact that I had no shoulder or back ache at the end of my walk (unlike my walking partner)!In short I'm over the moon with my purchase and would highly recommend this bag for a day on the hills.

My husband purchased a Hikelite 18 Hiking Pack for me some time ago. I was so pleased with the purchase that I treated my husband to one too! Ideal for days out without being too cumbersome!

Really like it. Not 5 stars as sweaty back occurs even in moderate temperatures with moderate exercise.

Been using this as a day bag/ hiking every day for the past 3 weeks, really great. Comfortable and no back sweat. Only annoying thing is the side pockets don’t hold a water bottle securely as the elastic isn’t tight, even around a larger bottle.

Firstly, really comfy and no sweaty back. The lack of proper waist straps isn't an issue for me. What annoys me is the lack of storage compartments. I have to use the rain cover one to include smaller items that would benefit from a further zippered space. Which leads me to the biggest criticism. Unless you have a full main compartment the smaller storage space pulls the whole rucksack out of shape. As this compartment is only secured at the top and swings freely, it's weight collapses the top half of the bag. I guess it's not really important but it looks awful. Disappointed really.

Best thing since sliced bread. I have several Ospreys. Not this size. The right size for rambles with the husband and dog. Perfect. Quality just so. Would recommend. Was taken aback by the net that keeps the bag off your back. Makes the bag, when loaded, weightless. I am buying another for my grandson who has taken up serious hiking with grandad. You will not be disappointed. It’s the bag for keeping your back sweat free and cool on warmer days. All rounder really.

Muy cómoda y el oso es mínimo... no es muy grande pero lo suficiente para llevar lo básico. Respecto al diseño... efectivamente, la parte trasera no está en contacto con la espalda... lo que ayuda a que haya mayor flujo de aire para evitar la sudoración de la espalda
