One of the best spray sealant's on the market (very USER FRIENDLY) ANYONE CAN DO IT!!!
This best thing about this product is that pretty much ANY LEVEL OF AUTO CLEANING PERSON from Novice to Expert can successfully use this product. I had Opti-Seal which was good also, but went with Blackfire Crystal Seal (which I do suspect could POSSIBLY be Opti-Seal, repackaged, because they are almost identical in the way they go on the car and work. I would be surprised if they were not the exact same product in different bottles like many of the detailing world products are. Anyway, I bought the 8oz bottle of Crystal Seal from BLACKFIRE from Autogeek.net when they had (may still have?) them for a buy one, get one free special. How can you beat that? You can't. So get the deal! I got mine in and I immdiately washed/decontaminated/polished my wife new convertible. Then I applied the Crystal Seal as directed with a foam applicator and spread it around the paint in straight lines back and forth or up and down. I also applied to the windows all the way around the vehicle and to the rear view mirrors. It also can be used on trim if needed and works just fine. If overspray got onto the rubber around the windows, no problem, just a quick wipe over and the surface is perfect. I can't say enough good things about the ease of use of this product. I have no idea what the longevity will be but I have seen at least 3 to 4 months in normal conditions (my wife's car is garaged at night) but not during the day while she is at work. 4 months seems to be about the longest I have let it go without doing a reapplication of Crystal Seal after a good washing of the vehicle and possible re-claying. The shine is excellent as well. I don't have lights shining at the car in six different directions. I'm just telling you this stuff SHINES!! High Shines! Leaves an excellent slick finish and it is a "sealant" so it will have protective properties. And I use this stuff very liberally. People would probably say "That's 40 times more than you need to spray on the surface, it only needs one to two pumps per panel, yeah, ok, whatever, I use as many pumps of product on the panel as I feel coats the panel with product successfully and then I use the foam applicator to "work in" the product onto the entire panel so the entire panel is coated. You will definitely have "high spots" but those are EASILY removed by taking your microfiber cloth and wiping over the entire panel just once. BOOM, you are done with that panel. Go on to the next panel. Spritz liberally on the next panel, use sponge to spread (back and forth motions) all over the panel, wipe it down immediately. DONE. Next panel, and so on. The process goes very quickly, even cleaning the windows. I get her car done amazingly fast and I tend to overdo it. Finally, I go back and do one final wipe down using the same cloth I wiped off the Crystal Seal product with (it should be saturated with product by that time) and it works great as a final wipe down which will still coat any missed spots with product ensuring the entire vehicle is fully coated and SEALED for several months in a microthin layer of protectant from the elements. Now, refresh step is super easy. Say, a week later, your car is dirty down. Wash your car with your favorite soap (I personally like a PH neutral soap, but that's me), use what soap you got and a good microfiber towel to dry the vehicle down. Waffle Weave towels are reportedly great for this stage so give one of those a try, I think you'll be happy. After rinsing the vehicle, you still have water on the surface. STOP, This is the perfect time to get your Crystal Seal back out and spritz a spray or two on each panel (going around in a one panel by panel fashion. Spritz a panel with Crystal Seal and wipe it dry using the Crystal Seal as the drying agent. You'll see it actually helps to dry the panel faster. You've no "topped off" your previous application of Crystal Seal and have essentially resealed your vehicle that week. So if that process is done on a weekly or even by-weekly basis using the Crystal Seal as a drying agent, you have a continuously sealed vehicle and you won't have to worry about longevity of the product. Their is truly no easier way to maintain your vehicle than this process. It works incredibly well. Black Fire Crystal Seal is relatively inexpensive and a little last quite a long time, especially with the buy one / get one free deal that was going on. I use it a LOT and I am still using the first bottle and I have more than half left. Great value for the money on such a ridiculously EFFECTIVE product. I'm not a "brand loyal" person. I cross over from brand to brand like I change my underwear (which is daily and frequently by the way.....I'm a clean freak....LOL). My point is I use what product WORKS THE BEST of any of that particular product genre' whether is a wax, polish, sealant, wheel cleaner, brush, whatever.......USE WHAT WORKS. Even if the "what works" is the most expensive, yeah, that's the one I'll go with, if the best one is the cheapest, yep, i'll go with the cheapest, and great, I save a buck or two in my pocket. Always a good thing.
