Absoluteley saved my butt after corruprion of computer

Retrieved lost work
My MacBook was completely dead and I lost all of my work. We removed the hard drive and connected it to this product and retrieved all of the work back. Amazing product!

Ceased functioning after a few hours
Seemed promising, then, after a couple of hours of copying over an old disk, just died. No power or activity indicators and no recognition from the computer. It was working, now it's not - nothing changed in the interim ( I mean literally nothing changed - it was left copying at the command line and when I came back I can see that it terminated 10GB into a 120GB copy. Nothing was plugged/unplugged or moved. )

It works!
The adapter works and can obviously save you hundreds of pounds by allowing you to use a standard drive instead of a custom one. The single weakness I found in the design is that it's shorter than Apple's original, so can't be held in place with a screw. I had to use a double-sided pad to keep it attached. Small price to pay...
