Great table and bench set. Very sturdy, easy to assemble and looks great on my patio

Unfortunately had to re-assess my review.The plus sides:The table does looks great, as do the benches."highly skilled craftsmanship" may be a push tbh (chunky pieces nailed together) however having looked around, this is a very sturdy table/benches with good thick chunky wood! (I have seen many table/benches for almost the same price or more which look pretty flimsy).Aside from the negative points (and remedial repairs) I expect this table to last a long time.The negative sides:Cracks!We had to exchange the table top from the offset as there were some major (very noticeable) cracks on the center plank. (this was very quick tbh - so 'hats off' for the speedy response)The replacement top also had a few fairly minor cracks - but no-where near as bad (so acceptable at the time).A few weeks later, the cracks on the edge of one of the planks in the tabletop were resulting in a strip of the wood 'wobbling' (i.e. could almost pull away) so had to put some wood glue in to strengthen/hold together.Now some other major cracks are appearing. Our approach - to fill with wood glue to prevent any water getting in and expanding/worsening cracks, and apply teak oil to the whole thing to add some extra protection. However, the amount of cracks are above and beyond would would be expected from 'normal wood cracking' (why should it crack at all if good quality and pressure treated properly). For the price paid, you shouldn't be expecting to be doing remedial repair a few weeks after assembling.One thing to add - yes you do get cracks! And yes it is a 'natural' part of wood furniture.However, all advertised pictures have no cracks, and there is no mention of the threat of cracks.Would be entirety expected maybe for industrial provided benches (i.e. outdoor common areas/pubs/parks etc) but for home use (as it is advertised) the expectation is more on quality and how it looks!To summarize:Am I happy? Overall - yes! But only because I am willing to be pragmatic and fix issues myself (having had a table top replaced)Am I disappointed? - yes! The pictures make it all look great, the posted customer pictures look great and none of them have any cracks visible. So my expectation was of a similar quality/experience.

The instructions were very easy to follow and assembly was simple.All fittings were there plus 2 extra screws.While the set is a great design, the finish is absolute rubbish.It has not been sanded down to be smooth, the legs on the table and benches are not flush at all so trying to fit them to the seats and table is at best wobbly so makes it difficult to get a good fit..The struts for the benches are great.The struts for the table however are not long enough as you can see by the pictures I have added to the review.In one picture, you can see I have placed one of the support struts flush so that the edges sit correctly against the table and leg but the strut cannot be securely fastened to either leg.Picture 3 you can see that the strut is splitting already because it was not long enough to line up with the screw hole so I now question the structural integrity of the table.Neither strut is flat as it should be and for the price, I expect a far better quality product.Over all, screw holes were misaligned.I've worked for woodwork companies in the past and this would never be allowed to be shipped in this state.Once last thing, I see in your showroom photos that the tables look 100% better than what I received.I would like you to send me 2 replacement table struts that are the correct length so that I can feel safe using the table or I'll just go through the returns process.This garden set could be so much better if it was not rough to the touch, holes lined up correctly and you could also add screw holes instead of people struggling to screw the thing together.It just looks like it was rushed to get it out the door.

Hi, I found when assembling the unit I had to enlarge the pilot holes as the provided screw bolts were biting in them. Also; I needed to use my hand ratchet to tighten bolts as my drill didn’t have the necessary power.No instructions were sent for erection of the unit but overall , it proved not too difficult. 👍😀

When I reported that one of the side panels of the 5ft picnic table was cracked on arrival I was promised an immediate replacement which arrived two days later.

Really like the shape and sturdiness and it looks good on my patio. Disappointed that the benches do not fit under the table as described.

This is a good sturdy table and bench set with a reasonable rustic (think picnic site) finish. We went for 6 foot length table and it is almost identical to the style pictured BUT the benches are the same length as the table. This is ok if you want to use the full length of the table but not ok if you want to store the benches under the table as is is claimed you should be able to do. However this is not a problem for us (UPDATE The supplier is sending two new benches after we mentioned it to them). Screw bolts were provided as fixings so I just needed a 10mm spanner to put the table and benches together which took about 45mins. After assembly I noticed that my hands were black and this seemed to be the from the wood treatment used. As such I would advise you either wipe down or sit on a bench cover until the excess treatment has been absorbed to prevent staining of clothes.
