The suction hose collapsed and the pump overheated and was damaged. Do not purchase this product for a suction hose. The are not like the old green ones. My old green ones(10 years of heavy use) had the fittings go bad, so I purchased this one as a quick replacement. At first, the hose entrained air in through the factory installed fitting. It had to be tightened. Then ~3 hours after running the pump, the hose collapsed. Unfortunately, I was mowing the grass (8 acres) when this hose randomly failed and did not notice. By the time I noticed, the brand new pump was also overheated and damaged. I've been running setups like this since 2012 with no issues. This is the 4th pump/hose combination I've used. Not excuse for this lack of quality. I see I can no longer purchase the original suction hoses anymore. It's probably because cheap garbage like this hose put the other sellers out of business. Pay more and buy quality. Don't fall into this trap like me.

The media could not be loaded. Decent quality hose. Im pulling about 10 vertical feet and the suction causes a small bit of air to enter via fitting. I tightened to spec and it didn't do the ttrick. If I let sit overnight the check valve isn't strong enough to stop water from flowing down and re priming is necessary.

I bought this hose to hook up to a shallow well pump to get water out of my lake. Within thirty seconds the hose sprung a leak. I had to drive 20 miles to a hardware store to get a union to splice the hose back together. Then after fixing the hose the female end of the hose kept blowing off the pump. I had to buy a hose barb to remedy this problem. I wouldn't recommend this hose to anyone. PURE JUNK!

Hose is cheap plastic and was cracked by just a light step on it while I was uncoiling it from the package. It cracked and now leaks. It has zero durability which for this application will not work, as it has to lay on the ground from the water source to the pump and will get stepped on eventually. I decided to salvage the end fittings and put them on 1" irrigation pipe I had.

Broke within minutes of hooking it up

Low quality. Busted in less than 2 month. 20 days after return window closed.
