Firstly, the pen writes well, it's sturdy and with the cap posted it's a nice weight to write with. I'm not sure what it means by "Writing Set" as there is but just the pen, nothing else. However, as I ordered the pen it's immaterial but "set" it is isn't. It came in a black box on which Amazon had stuck on a bar code for identification. When I tried to remove it the top laminate came off as well. I wasn't too bothered as I only wanted the pen but if this was for a present it wouldn't look good. I have been writing with the pen for quite sometime and the writing is very good, the refillable ink cartridge works well too. All in all good value for money.

Having been a handwriting connoisseur for some years I was interested to see how this pen would perform especially from its description and price. In a word WOW it writes beautifully with a nib the allows the ink to flow and demonstrate the art of fountain pen use. The package was good and came the next day as well. I am very impressed with this pen and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys writing with real pens.

It looks and feels nice.I did send an e-mail to the Seller asking them about ink cartridges for it etc, but they didn't get back to me and they should have done by now, as even with the Bank Holiday it's more than 2 days.I'll do another Review when the recipient of it gives me the thumbs up.It's always a shame when an item is purchased and that's the end of it. Some Sellers are brilliant and reply straight off with answers to questions.

"Writing set" is probably a bit generous as it's just a pen!However its brilliant.The weight is not too light nor too heavy, but substantial enough.The nib is very smooth and the ink flow just right - both with the (supplied) plunger OR with a cartridge. (Waterman standard size fits)I have had a Waterman pen for years until I lost it recently and tried to buy a replacement on Amazon that never made it to me. Getting frustrated I bought this as a short term "fix" but now it's my long term solution.I would happily recommend this and will probably buy a spare - as at the price it's a bargain and based on recent experience there is a chance I'll end up losing the pen at some point!!

Attracted by the write-up and their apparent value for money I bought one. Very impressed and immediately ordered another two. Not quite there if you like a fine nib but for those who can get by with a medium one, there is no quibble at all. Excellent flow when writing quickly and comes with one of these modern 'use your own ink' type fillers which works well if you like to roll your own! I assume that it will take cartridges just as readily for those who don't want 'inky fingers'. Will recommend without hesitation. Quite stylish too in a retro sort of way if you want that sort of thing.

Good quality but disappointed with the size of the ink reservoir; this tiny plastic srew type is not enough to get you through to a page of writing. There is space inside and it can be expanded and improved by the factory. Having to fill up frequently must be avoided. Also, legendary features of a fountain pen are not preserved. A piston push-pull or pump out can increase the ink capacity in the reservoir making it better.

Price was good, it looked very good, it felt good to hold, it wrote very good. It was good in all aspects./

Pen is nice looking and value for money. The craftsmanship is very good.
