I wanted a decent weight for my cantilever canopy that wouldn't cost as much as the umbrella.It was easy to fill on my own in a couple of minutes. I used one bag of builders sand for weight, could easily get another one in if needed later.I took my time filling cutting a small hole in the bag of sand and filling in bits then shaking down each leg of the product. I didn't want to use a metal spade or trowl.Brushed off excess sand around the velcro before securing.Lifting the bag is easy with the two handles provided then shaking and moulding round the legs of the stand.So far really happy and provides a really secure hold around the base.

The base weight appears sturdy and well made. There are adequate straps to ensure a secure fit around the base of a parasol. However filling with sand completely, is a bit tricky due to smallish opening provided. But overall a good product

Does the job well

Used for summer awning which needs a lot of weight to stop it blowing over in a moderate breeze. Filled two of these with sand and haven’t had any issues. Not the prettiest of things but low cost and practical

Bought to weigh my parasol washing line down. Hasn't fallen over since. Only needed one bag of sand but can hold more.
