Sacred Hours: The Lutheran Daily Office (Text Edition)

The Hour has Come for “Sacred Hours”!
The Sacred Hours prayer book is a joy and delight, the best book of its type that I have read thus far. Its publication is an answer to my own prayers, as a Lutheran who has struggled in the past to find a Lutheran/liturgical prayer book that I can easily use and make my own. Thanks be to God, this book exceeds my needs and expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who are seeking a historical/liturgical Christian perspective about prayer. Anyone who desires to pray, but is confused and discouraged, will find great help and consolation here.

Exactly what I was looking for.
This daily office is easy to use and the layout is really fantastic. It has all the stuff I liked about the 2019 bcp with the addition of commemoration for Lutheran saints.

Perfect for me!
This is the best personal Lutheran breviary I have found for daily prayer. It is organized well, has the services I know and love, and contains wonderful liturgical resources. Would recommend to everyone!

The Book of Common Prayer for Lutherans!
As a former Anglican (ACNA), now as a Lutheran (LCMS), I’m grateful to have a prayer book for the daily office!

Wonderful Prayer book for Matins, Vespers and Compline
I have been using this Daily Office for about a week now and I absolutely love it!The text is easy to read and the office is logical to follow. The order is a little different than the Book of Common Prayer or the Treasury of Daily Prayer: You go to Matins, for example, and after the opening versicles you will be lead to the invitory, the hymns for the season are in the same area along with responses and antiphons. There are three lectionary choices: the first is a flexible one which you simply read about 20 verses from the old testament and the same in the new.The second is from the 2019 Book of Common Prayer, which goes mostly through the Bible but jumps over some parts of say, Numbers and Chronicles, this also has some apocryphal readings. The third lectionary, my favourite, is also the longest. This goes through the old testament once and most of the new testament three times, though parts (Acts, Revelation for example) two times in a year. The psalms are on a 30 day cycle and the proverbs are intended to be read during the day office (though I sometimes just read the proverb chapter of the day in between the old and new testament reading in Vespers. This lectionary reading has everything I love, it goes through the whole Bible and it is liturgical in nature, on Christmas you will read the Christmas story for example. There are also readings for Feast days throughout the Church year and they have their own readings. There is a prayer for each Sunday in the Church year which serves for the week, these are very similar to the Book of Common Prayer. There are separate prayers for feast days as well in their own section. The last section before the lectionaries is the prayers after the prayer of the day, these are organized very well, there is a table of contents for the types of prayers and each prayer has its own number so they are very easy to find. This is not only a Daily Office book but also a one stop shop for almost any prayer you can think of.I would highly recommend this book to anyone to prays the daily office.
