Lovely sturdy bed
Very easy to put together, every piece was marked with a letter for guidance. No tools needed except the Alan key which was provided.Great bed for the money .

A good solid bed.
This is an amazing bed. It's much heavier than anticipated. It took approximately 1 hour to construct and requires a screwdriver. It's currently holding a 12 inch deep mattress with ease, and is being used by adults. My only criticism would be, is that the headboard isn't very high, so the higher the mattress, the less headboard you'll have.Something to consider. However, this is exceptional value for money with the quality being much better than expected.I'd definitely recommend.

Easy to assemble, sturdy, simple and attractive.
Item came packed in a solid box, quite a weighty package but it's a fully opening box so you can use that to keep it all together while you build.I had a quick run through the parts list to check that the parts were all there and I'm pleased to say that they were, in fact many of the screws and small fixing had spares (one or two). There is a supplied allen key and a small spanner for tightening the nylon locking nuts. The parts were identified with a small circular sticker with a letter on it on every part, easy enough to remove, I though that some had fallen off but they were all there. In that event the diagrams in the instructions would be sufficient to identify each part at a push. The screws/nuts and washers came in a few bags with the ID letter stickers on, this system works well with one small caveat, I spent a while looking for screws and could not find them, thinking they were missing, they were not, the confusion occurred because I thought that I had "b" which was just an upside down "q" (or vice-versa). So if they are reading a simple bar under the letter would fix that. All the parts were well made, a few of the punched holes were a little ragged but nothing that made any difference to the build. The finish was good all over, some kind of textured powder coat, but coverage was even and I saw no gaps. The screws and fittings were finished in some kind of black oxide finish which is very durable, hard to scratch. Everything lined up, there was a minor issue with a weld on one of the small brackets that stop the mattress sliding (although it shows no tendency to do that) but I didn't need one on a wall side of the bed so didn't stop my build. It took me alone about 1.75 hours to put together, if you can get some help to put the main parts of the frame together you could probably do it in under an hour. There are some things you can do to speed it up, if you have an electric screwdriver and set the "slip" or torque so that it will tighten and not crush the tubular sections that will save a LOT of time, you can keep your tightening consistent throughout. It makes sense to remove the small ID stickers as you go and to tighten according to the instructions, (partially then fully) this makes alignment easier. I will reiterate DO NOT over tighten, these tubes will crush and there is no benefit in doing so anyway. I particularly liked the way the cross "slats" are fitted, easy to put on and take off (if you ever had to).I'm very happy with how it turned out, the design is simple but strong, I'm weighty and it seems to have no difficulty in supporting me (mattress on of course). My only quibble with the design is that it would have been nice to have made the headboard (which is a nice fabric) adjustable, so that you could lower it depending on the thickness of the mattress, removing that gap between the two. That is just an aesthetic thing unless you worry about your book falling down the back of the bed when you nod off.So in summary. Kit supplied complete (with some considerate spares), a couple of tools you'll need came too. The finish is good on the frame, the headboard is of simple but effective design. Assembly was easy, would be easier with help. Everything lines up, the instructions are very clear, one minor issue with one part and would have liked to have been able adjust the headboard up/down. I do like that there is plenty of clear space under the bed to put some under bed storage boxes.I will recommend it, it's simple but effective, certainly not unattractive and functions well.
