These are soo easy on the hand. I don’t think any of my hand cutters have been as sharp and worked soo well. Would definitely buy again

These fit well in both male and female hands. (They don’t open too widely that they can’t be easily grasped/squeezed by smaller, female hands).The padded handles are super comfortable. They’re extremely sharp and cut through the tree branches effortlessly.Although the indicated cut size is 3/4”, I found that they really only cut up to 1/2”. Disappointing because, based on the description of the product, I assumed I’d be able to trim 3/4” branches. NBD — will keep these for smaller branches and get the hand saw out next time for anything over 1/2”…description just misleading.Update: since these worked well, and I just lost the spring for another pruner, I bought a second one of these.

I do most of the trimming in our yard which quickly becomes overgrown, so the need for trimming is a never ending challenge. Tools can make or break some of these jobs, based upon their efficiency and I am glad to report that this Vivosun Pruner does a great job!There are a few features I evaluate prior to adding pruners to my roster. One is how wide the blades open, wanting the ability to cut some wider branches/twigs, allows me to keep cutting rather than to have the need to default to loopers. Another feature, not used while working, but equally important, is whether they have a secure locking mechanism that is simple to operate. And finally, the degree of comfort it offers in operation. This pruner rates a definite "Yes" in every one of these features, so I give it a huge 'thumbs up'!

The handhold is VERY comfortable, and the blades are very sharp. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that the "safety lock" is so annoying. After I have deadheaded one plant, or cut one branch, I need to reposition the shears for the next cut. At that point, the safety lock cuts in, and I have to open it and reposition the lock so that it will permit me to do the next cut. I have experienced this problem with several other shears. Why can't the manufacturers figure out a design that lets active pruners use the shears for multiple prunes, without having the safety device cut in unless they do something that signals that they have ceased cutting and are looking for other things to prune? I understand why the safety lock is needed, but as currently designed, it is VERY hard on old and arthritic hands.

The media could not be loaded. My wife needed a new pair of pruning shears and these are working out well. The blades are sharp and smooth which allows cutting a breeze even with one hand. One handed, she can cut about 3/8 inch branches with ease.So far, she is very happy with the shears and she has used them a lot.MY PERSONAL COMMENTS:I am an approved Amazon Vine Member. I thought the foamy comfort handles were a gimmick, but they really work. My hands felt better after prolonged use with these shears than with my other similar pair. They prune really well: I attacked an out of control bougainvillea and they performed really well.
