This neatly packed set in its own very portable carry case has a GREAT selection of drawing pencils (graphite), black AND white charcoal pencils, colored pencils and watercolor pencils, which I'm using in my drawing class and for all the practice I require to improve my drawing skills now that I have an idea what they are supposed to be.It also includes paper blending stumps, erasers, a two-port pencil sharpener and a sanding block, a water-brush and flat brush (for the watercolor pencils). And I can't wait to play around with the metallic color pencils that are also included. Oh, and it comes with a small sketchpad that includes black sheets and tan sheets in addition to 30 white sheets.The list price is very reasonable, and right now it even has a 20% discount!I don't have the experience to evaluate whether this wonderful set is suitable for professional artists, but as a student, and doodler, I am having SO much fun with it!

This is a great set with plenty of supplies. One of the things I really like is that if you know someone who does drawing it includes some other supplies you may not otherwise consider. The watercolor pencils and color pencils are a nice addition. I love the case it comes in and it even comes with a sketchbook to get you started. Would be a great little travel set for someone or a gift.

It’s an all-in-one kit that includes everything you could possibly need: graphite pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, colored/metallic pencils, erasers, blending stumps, and even a travel case. The extra sketch pad with various paper colors is a fantastic addition! It’s perfect for artists of all levels! Highly recommend - such a great value!

This is such a great set. It is well thought out with most of the dry pencil supplies required in university drawing classes from beginning to color drawing. It is well laid out, sturdy, properly sewn and water resistant. It includes a wrist strap to easily pull out of a backpack or portfolio. The color pencils layer softly and well. Of course, at this price point, they have less pigment or intensity than the well-known museum quality brands, but for their own category, these are still quite good as you can see on the swatches in my photo (and those of other reviewers too.) For field work and sketchbook experimentation I don't mind not using super pigmented pencils just to get some preliminary thumbnails or doodles. This set would also work well for adult coloring books and to take on field trips or vacations. None of the graphite pencils in the set I received were scratchy or grainy, including the H (hard) graphite pencils. Regarding the water brush reservoir, keep in mind that in Asia, for some reason screws are lefty tighty and righty loosey, but the water brush is very good too. There are three types of paper in a single sketchpad, which is very useful for a travel set. The white paper is only 68 lbs, yet the black, dual sided marker did not bleed or ghost through to the other side with either of the tips. If this or any pencil extender is too loose even when fully tightened, you can add a small bit of plastic wrap around the end of the pencil. Overall, it is a great set and well-worth 5-stars in this division or category of art supplies.

The waterbrush pen is flimsy and feels like it might break quickly. It also unscrews to the right (or clockwise) which is the opposite of everything else out there. I'm afraid it will break just from trying to unscrew it or screw it back together in the wrong direction.Graphite pencils...are graphite pencils. No issues with graphite breaking yet. Same thing with the watercolor pencils. They work as they should - no issues with breakage yet.The metallic pencils work fine but aren't metallic colors. They put down normal colors and have some nice colors - but aren't metallic.The paint brush is ok - nothing to right home about. I have better from local stores but will probably use this for something when I don't care if the brush is destroyed.The charcoal pencils I haven't sharpened yet to try but will update if I see issues. Same thing with the two pastel pencils - I havent sharpened them yet either.No complaints on the colored pencils. No issues so far with breaking.The pencil extender only seems to want to hold onto certain pencils even on the smallest size. It seems to prefer the hex shaped pencils over round shaped ones. Round shaped pencils slide out.I do like how everything is organized and contained in one case. Everthing also has its own elastic holder so no risk of anything falling out or being misplaced. You also won't have to look around for where you put anything as it is all together in one spot.Overall definitely worth the current $17 advertised price.

My grandsons have been liking this beginner artist set. Everything is well packaged, decent quality and easy to use. I love that it's all in a case, so all the components stay together. There is so much included in this set, and the grands have been enjoying every bit of it. I think it's a great value, especially for the quality and amount of items in this kit.
