Film Poster: Alfred Hitchcock`s masterpiece was brought to life on screen by actors James Stewart, Kim Novak and Barbara Bel Geddes in 1958. Now ranked amongst one of the greatest ever films, Vertigo originally received mixed reviews. The plot centres around a retired police detective "Scottie" who has acrophobia and is hired as a private investigator to follow the wife of an acquaintance and uncover the mystery of her peculiar behaviour. This poster is the title cover of the film and represents Scottie`s fear of heights and the swirling dizziness he feels when faced with them. His incapabilities to rescue those that fall from such heights is also at the centre of Vertigo`s narrative.
