Bought this for a friend as a lawn ornament for Christmas. After the friend put it together like it so much he decided to keep it as a piece of artwork in the house. Looks great on a table near a large piece of artwork on the wall. I was happy and surprised at the quality and beauty, especially the 3-D plumage.

This metal crane (or heron) statue looks awesome in my garden. It’s pretty well made and the colors are beautiful. The solar panel is on the back so that part must get sunlight in order for it to light up. The light inside is not strong so it’s not very apparent. This statue would look great by a pond or in any part of the yard.

This is a really cute metal crane that lights up at night using nothing but solar power. It's a large enough piece to make a statement, but not so big as to be awkward. I would make a nice addition anywhere you need a little something extra or any place in your garden that you'd like to be illuminated at night. The only caveat to this is that it will need to get sun at some point during the day for at least several hours or the lights won't come on. I put it in a bed next to my deck for the time being, but I'm not sure if that's going to be its permanent home.The crane comes in three pieces: head/neck, body, and legs. They are easily put together, but I did find the legs to be a bit wobbly. This resolved itself once I staked it to the ground, but just something to be aware of. I'm not worried it will blow away or anything, but it is just kind of "nested" together, so anything is possible. It does come with a large garden staple-style stake to secure it to the ground which was helpful. The wings can be adjusted depending on your preference, but I left them close to the body because in my opinion, it looks better that way.I think this crane will provide many years of adorable service to my garden but I will definitely take it down after the summer season to help preserve the finish and its overall longevity. I like that the solar panel has an on/off button so that I can switch it to "off" for storage. I've removed a star because I am apprehensive about how it fits together and whether that will be durable in a storm. Still, overall, it's a cute and mostly durable garden ornament.
