Loved it
The cover was beautiful, the story sweet but also sexy. I really enjoyed this book and I for certain will be reading the second one when it is eventually released. It is like the usual orc story for sure but there was not just orc seed and sex, but an actual story that made you want to continue it and to not put it down until it was sadly finished. The only disappointment I found was that Gunag was not the mmc in the upcoming sequel!

Orc story
The orc and the witch queen. I've never read a storyline like this before but it was a fast paced read. I enjoyed it.

An Epic Tale of Love, Power, and the Clash of Two Worlds!
One of the standout moments in the book is a riveting negotiation scene where Adalind displays her cunning and resourcefulness. Her mastery of the situation, combined with her stunning beauty, keeps the reader on edge, just as it does the orc king. The tension in this scene is palpable, and it showcases the author's talent for crafting intricate and engaging dialogue.

i waited too long to read this amazing story!
Adalind is fairy blessed but in turn they’re kind of curses. She has beauty and pulls attention whether she wants to or not. Sadly, she gets the attention of the King who covets her for himself. She spends years under his control until eventually a war he started ends in his passing. She is able to negotiate for peace with the orcs and becomes a bride for their king, Rognar.Their very first meeting Rognar feels under her spell but not just because of her beauty. She’s his mate. These two were wonderful. They had to overcome a lot of trauma and they had to push through the difficult conversations to truly come out on top. Around every corner there were more issues but they faced them together. Most times.I wish I had read this sooner! I’m immediately starting book two.

Steamy and moves along quickly
The world and premise are great and the actions of the characters make sense. Warning though description of torture is not a lot but is very vividly written so that is tough. I skipped those pages mostly, but do feel that they were part of this story, I am just not one for watching bad things.

Excellent Story!
War Queen is an excellent story that is so very well written and captivating I couldn’t stop reading! The story opens with Adalind, Queen of Adrik learning of her cruel husband King Yorian’s death at the hands of the Orc’s with whom he had started a war.Determined to keep her people safe and negotiate a truce with the Orc King Rognar she and her guard ride out to meet the approaching horde. Two halves of a whole are about to merge in an adventure of magic, intrigue, subterfuge, romance, and heart tugging emotions vividly immersed in a narrative that also delivers a new and fresh view of Orc culture.Expertly crafted characters populated the pages and the spice when it occurred was just where it needed to be as Adalind who had suffered horribly at the hands of her husband learned to trust the sweetness and understanding offered by Rognar who as soon as he sees Adalind KNOWS she belongs to him.Looking forward to reading more in this series.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Amazing!
I was a little hesitant about this book because orcs are not usually my thing but I thought I would give it a go. Low and behold, by the 3rd chapter I was hooked. I loved this book! It never felt slow and the characters stayed true to themselves. We have a brilliant Female lead and a Strong Orc with a heart of gold. Honestly I think you will love this book if you like strong and sweet male leads.Warning: this book does have some possible trauma triggers mostly surrounding torture. Huge props to the author for stateing the possible triggers in the first few pages!

Beautifully written, sweet and sexy love story.
I ate this book up with a spoon and left no crumbs! I love discovering new authors. I have not read much orc romance, this is actually my second time. I decided to try this one because the intro intrigued me. I am so glad I did because I really enjoyed reading it. I adored the MCs Adalind and Rognar. Their story was cleverly told within a time of war and unrest. My only negative is that I wanted more of the world building. The imagery we are given was so good, I could picture it clearly in my head, but I wanted more. However, that did not take away from my enjoyment of the book as the author was able to weave a wonderfully sweet and sexy love story in the midst of all the chaos of war and espionage. The kind and fair, but commanding and super protective Orc King and the beautiful, strong minded, survivor and widowed Queen both held my attention throughout and I was fully invested in their outcome. I loved how their layers were peeled back and revealed to each other. The writing flow was beautiful, it had me captivated from start to end, I just could not put it down. I devoured this book in a day. I am definitely getting book 2 in the series.
