This book has the sheet music for 39 songs. If you want the CD verson, you need that vocal collection, it's a different book. In my singing class he told us to buy one of volumes in this collection, but all the books are different and nobody knew what we were going to get. As a singing teacher, I mix Broadway classics in with the Italian repertoire to sweeten the mix for my students and to keep them on track vocally. It’s so nice that there are five volumes for each voice type in this venerable anthology. I think you need all five, so I recommend you get them for those gems you might be missing otherwise.

This volume contains many fine theatre songs for mezzo. I use it often with my students and got it for one of my seniors for her graduation gift.

I ordered this musical selections book and did not receive the book as described, so none of the songs that I was anticipating receiving are in this book. I received the mezzo/Alto book Volume 1 instead of the Mezzo)Belter book Volume 1. The songs in this book are a bit outdated.

Got this used. Works great.

There are several very singable tunes which are fun and could serve as audition pieces to show style and drama. They are in a lower range which are good for singers who don't have a good upper range.

arrived very quickly in excellent packaging, needed for singing exam and looking forward to daughter singing others in book too. SOngs not necessarily to her liking so may try another from this series

This book is so inspiring

Great book though can be a little low for mezzo soprano. Really disappointed that it didn't come with the cd's.
