This birthday card comes flat packed, is made of nice thick card and comes with a sturdy envelope. It is suitable to send through the post as a large letter. A small card is also included, to write a message, as there isn't really space to write one on the card itself and being mostly black it would be difficult to get it to show up. I got this card to send to a male relative, but it is pretty unisex and would be fine to send to a female too. The envelope closes with a little heart shaped flap, which is a nice little finishing touch.The card pops up easily when opened and there is a pull out part too. Overall, I'm pleased with the card and I'm sure it will go down well.

This card offers a bit of fun to a 30th birthday celebration. It is in fact a flat pack cube with three layers of birthday symbols, one of which is really tall once you’ve pulled it out (there’s a helpful ‘pull’ instruction in the relevant place). The colour scheme is very black (which shows fingerprints) with some beige and gold, including a glittering 30. It’s a shame that the tallest part of the card is at the front and hides what’s behind (including the golden 30); also because it’s tall, it’s folded (quite cleverly) a few times and there are a couple of items that don’t quite come out as neatly as I expected. This includes one present cut-out which seems to be partly attached with a dot of glue and doesn’t survive the unfolding so it’s comes off loose. I have seen lasercut 3D cards with more detail on the market for a similar price so this doesn’t compare favourably. Included in the pack is a 8cm square card for your birthday message. The whole lot goes into a strong golden envelope which is 18cm wide x 19cm tall which means that it doesn’t fit within the standard Royal Mail letter size (although at 47g it’s well within the under 100g tarif). Perhaps the idea is that you wouldn’t post it anyway but hand it over as it has a lovely heart shape mechanism to fold over a slot to close it - nothing like a standard gummed or self-seal envelope. The cellophane sleeve that contains the pack says it’s made in China.
