Gun Vise Attachment

I bought this as an add-on to the CTK Precision P3 Shooting Rest as I did not want to purchase a separate stand-alone weapons vise. It quickly attaches/detaches to/from the shooting rest, so adds to the versatility of the rest while providing a platform and holding mechanism for working on both long guns and pistols. The vise comes disassembled, but the included instructions are detailed but straight forward. It is sturdy and provides a stable and secure means of holding a weapon for maintenance or modification. Of note, the CTK shooting rest with attached vise does not have legs, so it has to be used on a table or bench; this is not necessarily a drawback unless one really wants a rest/vise with legs that bring the device up to waist height. The vise/rest combo will greatly facilitate sighting in/zeroing pistols equipped with a red dot optical sight.Big consideration for me in purchasing was that both the rest and the vise are made in U.S.A., not China. Very satisfied with my purchase and anticipate it will get a lot of use.

The CTK was invaluable in sighting in a new rifle. The vice clamp held the rifle rock solid for bore sighting and the front V notch then allowed a steady rest for sight alignment on the target. This is a quality, flexible and highly useful addition to rifle shooting. I highly recommend this CTK rifle rest to any one looking for this type of tool.

Clamps tightly and turns the CTK P3 rest into a practical vise for cleaning and maintenance for rifles or pistols. The hair bungee supplied as a pre-tensioning band is a little cheesy and does seem somewhat of an afterthought as mentioned in another review, but it works very well and will be cheap and easy to replace as it inevitably stretches and wears out. Call it 4 1/2 stars.

The perfect accessory to the P3 Shooting Rest. As with the rest, this vise is well contructed. It works well and keeps the item secured. The only "huh?" Thing I found was this rubber band they supply to provide a little tension to the two pieces. Almost like it was an after thought. That aside, still a great product!

I purchased this to fit on my existing CTK Precision Gun shooting rest - it works very well in holding the rifle during cleaning. Its a nice product and worthwhile to own.

Excellent addition to the CTK Bench Rest. Especially useful when cleaning an AR rifle. Used in conjunction with the basic rest to insure totally secure, and static aim for zeroing scopes and iron sights. Very pleased with ALL of CTK products. Highly Recommended!

I added this to my gun mount to hold my Colt AR15 stock during the cleaning process. I works just as advertised, and when closed holds the stock and rifle firmly in place. It is of a high quality construction, fits perfectly on the rail system, and doesn't jiggle or loosen if the gun mount is moved around. I would highly recommend this quality product to others.

For the price I thought this would be a little better built. The fabric and padding were poorly fitted. The tention adjustment is created by a bolt passing through a threaded plastic rod. I am not sure how long that will last. But given you should not be over tightening it and damaging your gunstock it should last a while. I know I keep mine lubed to try to prevent wear.
