Initially this was a good dvd player but then it became less reliable. Sometimes it would work sometimes not. In the last two years because of its unreliability I have barely used it. It seemed that it was very sensisitive to the exact position I put it relative to the computer and sometimes it would just cut out. I could never figure out why. Not having used it for six months I pulled it out out to try and use it this week and it really struggled and could not read any of the DVDs I tried with it, so I think it is heading for the bin. So my conclusion is that it is a lot more fragile than it looks when you first by it. Mine was fine for six months but within a year was not functioning well and now not at all, although I have probably used no more than a dozen times in total. I may just have had bad luck, or possibly I had a bad version of the product.

Very satisfied with the external drive. It works well and I have had no problems with it. Would recommend it.
