Grown Alchemist Giving Body Gift Set – Premium Body Cleanser & Cream, Lovely to Use
This ‘Giving Body’ set by Grown Alchemist is a limited-edition gift set of body cleanser and body cream which came packaged in a nicely presented cardboard box and would make a lovely gift. The set feels premium and each bottle contains 300ml of product and is made of a brown plastic (although I did actually expect glass for the full RRP). The bottles dispense via a pump system and I found them easy to undo and they dispense a good amount. The body cleanser contains chamomile, bergamot and rose as the main scent contributors but the cleanser is packed full of natural plant-based ingredients which gently exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and soft due to the inclusion of rosehip oil. However, it is worth noting that there isn’t much lather to the cleanser. The body cream is scented with mandarin and rosemary leaf and in combination with the shea butter, jojoba oil and rosehip oil offer a good level of hydration and nourishment for your skin. The cream isn’t greasy and given a bit of time absorbs well, leaving my skin moisturised. You don’t need a lot of either product as a little goes a long way. Both products smell fantastic and lingers on your skin for a good amount of time afterwards. I would describe the fragrances as unisex – the brand reminds me a bit of Molten Brown. The body cleanser and body cream are made from natural ingredients and are both vegan and cruelty free. The brand behind the skincare kit has excellent credentials in terms of ethical standards whilst providing luxury products – I’m very impressed by this company.Priced at £23.97 (with an additional 15% off voucher valid until the 31st December 2024) at the time of reviewing, this is an excellent price for the quality of the products (although remember the RRP was £39). The body cleanser and body cream are luxury products which contain good quality ingredients without any nasties. The set makes a lovely treat for yourself or a beautiful set to gift – I would highly recommend. Although aimed for the festive season the gift set is lovely all year round.

A good set of body care products, nicely-scented
The products themselves come in a nice amber-coloured containers with pump dispensers. The shower gel/cleanser has a subtle scent, mostly of bergamot and rose. The gel does not foam up much at all but it is easy to massage it into the skin and easy to rinse off. I did not find it drying. The body cream has a mandarin and rosemary scent. The rosemary scent is what I could detect first and them nice subtle mandarin scent lingered after application. The cream is rich but easy to spread onto the skin and absorbs quickly and well. It does not leave a greasy film on the skin. My skin feels very soft and smooth after I use this body cream. It is really great for autumn/winter cold weather. In terms of the gift packaging - the two products come in a simple nice cardboard box. There are list of ingredients for both products on the side of the box but these are very difficulty to read as they are printed in a shiny red print on matte red paper. However, fortunately, the ingredients are also on the bottles themselves. The products are vegan and cruelty-free but I did not see the usual well-known cruelty-free bunny logo on the products (there is a slightly different cruelty-free logo on the bottles).
