Fantastic book. Read if you want your running to be healthy and successfull.
This book focuses on your health at least as much as on your running goals. The step by step, goal by goal approach includes, unlike most training plans you will find, more than just running. The author gives you an excellent workout routine, helping you reactivate muscles you haven't used in decades. This is precisely what makes this training plan so special. If you follow this, your running form will improve alongside with your speed and endurance.

Fantastic book
I purchased this book to prepare me for my second marathon ( five years after my first) and I found it very useful. It takes a very balanced approach and is full of very straightforward, helpful advice.I finished my first marathon in 5.04 and my recent race in 4.32 following the advice given so I would definitely recommend this book.

Refreshing
Great style, a refreshing approach to marathon training, that doesn't have you pounding out the miles, and keeps it interesting. Even if you're not going to run a marathon, it provides a great plan for getting properly fit- a platform for running, cycling, multi sport events, and all round fitness. Nicely written, with personal anecdotes and written for REAL people, not obsessives.

This is an excellent book. I am running my first marathon and found the approach within this book refreshingly honest, realistic in terms of expectations and extremely useful in terms of advice from everything ranging from nutrition to stretching. I thoroughly recommend it.

Must read for any aspiring marathon runner
Excellent training material and easy to pick up at any level. Lots of tips for running, equipment and anything you may need. Find the plans easy to follow and maintain and can see an improvement already! X
