I was building an exhaust system for a fume hood. This worked perfectly.

This fan works pretty well for the price. I have it sitting on a 48” carbon filter. It’s oretty loud and when you back the speed down it gets louder.Reason for my 3 stars. I bought some standard 12” flexible duct and the intake side of the fan is too large for it. Had to cut and rig the duct to attach. Maybe it’s metric? Either way a big flaw. Beware if you plan on adding duct to the input side.

Only concern is the fan sound is little loud.

Worthless- very low static pressure and vacuum force. Disappointed but can't return now. It's quiet....but so is not turning it on! -and pretty much works the same if its on or off. I assume you need a length of hose in and out because judging by its lack of effect on a fume/smoke source even close to it, it does almost nothing. Apparently a very poor blade design and that could be why it is as quiet as a squirrel cage type. After building an inlet plenum it still had very little actual air movement. Pointless, worthless waste of time and hours spent building around it's size for a table extraction system that now needs a different air handling system.

This fan blows! It is near the rated 1500CFM as tested and the noise is reasonable, more like a white noise. I've had it running 24/7 since August 2020. If you need an inline duct fan then this is the one to get!

Very well built and rugged - the variable speed is a big plus

Nice value for money 12 inch blower, very easy to installed. But it's not 1500 cfm as the title said. Manufacturer data is different.
