Works well for charging my RAV4 Prime EV
I originally thought I was going to spend $1,400 to have an electrician do a fairly involved installation of a L2 charger due to where my electricity attaches to the house in relation to my garage. When I took some time to think about my driving habits I realized it was unnecessary. I don't do a ton of driving, and I'm not averse to using some gas when I need to, so taking 12 hours for L1 charging really is not a hardship whatsoever. When I factored it against both the electrical work and the cost of the charger itself, it really became a no-brainer.The owner's manual for Prime says you cannot use an extension cord for charging because it is not GFCI. I have a hard time believing this matters when the entirety of an extension cord and its attachment to the charging cable would be inside my garage, but I don't want to do anything that could even remotely hurt my new $$$$ car so I decided to pay the relatively expensive price for this GFCI cord. I've done a handful of charges so far and everything is working great. The cord is very substantial so you feel like you get your money's worth, even before getting to the built-in GFCI functionality. It was pricey, but only 5% of what an L2 + installation would have cost me so I'm happy to pay the price!

This GFI extension is pricier than other comparable ones and it is worth it. It is a good quality product that should last for years and provide you with power safely: based on its reviews and other products.

Returning favorite
I purchased a few of these for work. Greta price point, and decent construction. They are hard to find in my local stores at times. It does exactly what is suppose to do and protect me and others while working with electrical connections. I will certainly purchase again, as we need it.This particular one was a repurchase, my original was damaged and the ground plug came out of it. That damage was from a fellow employee and not a defect of the protector.
