Works as It should
A lot of people give Fram a lot of grief on bed reviews. I am a double master certified technician and have been using Fram filters for practically all my life, I am more than 50 years old and I've been doing this since I was 15. Most of the time I feel that people give Fram a bad rap because the filters plug up. Filters would not plug up if the engines weren't sludge from either cheap and/or lack of oil changes. Using the proper type oil, proper weight and quality oil and changing it at the proper intervals will most likely completely 100% eradicate this problem. I am not A spokesperson nor paid in any way shape or form by Fram. I just really like these filters and I have been using them for half of a lifetime. If the filter is plugged up it's because the engine is filthy! If you think that that is the problem, then use a cheaper inferior filter to catch some of the large gunk and then slowly but surely by changing the oil and filters very early you can then clean the engine up and start using a good filter like these Fram's. There are other filters on the market as well that are good but this is a fram update for the frame filter that I purchased and will continued to purchase. I Will get off of my soapbox.

Tough Guard exterior, High Mileage internals. Not a Tough Guard.
I ordered 2 to have on hand for future use and they were not as expected. The box and filter appear to be genuine FRAM but the filter lacks the silicone anti-drainback valve and it has the 'goo pellet' that FRAM puts into their high mileage filter line. I was clearly sent a remarked FRAM High Mileage filter sold as a Tough Guard. I was not able to inspect the filter media to determine if it matched the Tough Guard or was the lesser quality High Mileage filter media, but the rest of the filter matches a High Mileage filter exactly. Come on FRAM! I realize supply chains are difficult right now but don't outright lie to your customers. What is in the box does not match what is advertised on the package. This is outright illegal and you're likely to get burned with a class action lawsuit for behavior like this! I'm still using the filters but I'll think twice about buying FRAM again.

good value
This is a good value. it is a mid grade filter . are there better filters? Yes , they are amore money. some people say there are better filter elements than the one in this filter, but I haven't seen any proof of that . I think if you change your oil and filter at proper intervals , it does really matter unless you have extreme parts wear and that is usually caused by abuse or getting dirt in you engine when you change oil. and oh yea, if you dont change your oiI have been using mostly fram filters for my whole life. and have never had an engine failure due to improper filtering. they say this filter is good for synthetic oils which I use and I spend the extra money on these synthetics instead of pricier filters also dont push the 15,000 miles they say this filter is good for

A reliable oil filter
I've been using these filters on my cars since I was a teen. I change my oil and filter at the recommended intervals and i have yet to have any engine related trouble. I can only assume these filters are doing their job well! Unlike many other brands, these filters have a grip material on the end to aid in removing them, saves grabbing an extra tool to remove them.

O-ring too thin
After changing my oil and replacing the O-ring, I noticed oil leaking from my engine and took it in to get it checked out professionally. When they removed the oil filter, they mentioned the O-ring I had added that had come with the filter was about half the width/thickness of the normal O-rings that they pull off of that type of oil filter. I’m not sure what the mixup was, but it was a waste of time and money to change my own oil as I had to have it redone regardless.

This TG11665 Filter Does Fit 2014-2020 Dodge Charger regardless of what Amazons fitment says.
I own both a 2018 Dodge Durango and a 2019 Dodge Charger SXT with the 3.6 liter engine. this filter according to the Amazon fitment guide will not fit the Dodge Charger ...they are dead wrong .They direct you to a more expensive filter for the charger but this filter WILL fit 2014 to 2020 Dodge Charger with the 3.6 liter engine. But don't take my word for it call your local auto parts store and verify. Amazon is wrong.

Good filter.
Are there better filters out there? Yes. For the money this is hard to beat. 99% efficiency and the coating fram does on the bottom makes it super easy to remove and install filter. Fram gets knocked for the way they make filters but if there were any real issues they would have had class action suits and everything that gies along with. Disclaimer: I have found that supertech filters are made just a bit better, are 99% efficient, and are under $3. So thats what I use.

Please read
Was Fram making oil filters before there was oil? I think they started by filtering olive oil or something? Filippo Berio #7? I digress. This filter is a good middle of the road filter. Frams PH line (the basic one) is pretty bad. This one is a lot better, it is also double the cost. If you have a car you take care of and want it to last, get this or the fram XG (extra gaurd, the best one). I can get them a bit cheaper through work but its about a 1 dollar difference, so it’s a good price. If you found this helpful at all please click below.

Good Product.
Some people are critical of using Fram filters claiming they are cheaply made. That may be true of the internal construction when compared to other brands. Still, I base my opinion on actual use and track record. Over the years I've used Fram products for all my vehicles and have never had an issue. They make a good product.

Change oil and filter often.
Does the job. Change oil every 5,000 kms. No matter what oil or filter you use, engine wear still occurs. After this time period, oil is filthy, can't imagine how it would look after 15,000.

Good quality at a reasonable price.
Fram Filter works and fits as described. Since Walmart stopped stocking practically all their Fram Filters, it’s nice to see Amazon keeps these available for the same price.

Works as well as OEM and costs less.
These filters are not widely available and the dealer cost is too high on. These replacement fits perfectly and performs as well.
