Excellent build quality as you’d expect from Smallrig. Smaller than I expected and will be great to throw into my camera bag. A little too tight for my liking but easy to loosen a fraction. A few reviews here say it comes in a soft pouch and a hard case. Neither is stated in the description. Mine just came in a soft pouch so assume they’ve changed it slightly just in case anyone is bothered about that. As a few have said it’s a shame there’s not a slightly narrower flat head. This one is perfect for tripod plates but would be handy to have a smaller one for general use. Great little product.

Within the last year, I have moved from "point-and-shoot" cameras to micro-four-thirds, and whilst I have a Swiss Army Penknife, I wanted a multi-tool that I could travel with without any grey area legal issues. This SMALLRIG camera tool is perfect for my needs. It came in a sturdy cardboard box, protected by paper equivalent to bubble wrap, meaning no plastic. The tool comes in a handy velvet drawstring bag to keep it safe from scratching any gear in my camera bag.The tool is comfortable to use, and each tool is nice and stiff when used, with no floppy hinges. I mainly use it for the flathead screwdriver for removing Acra plates etc., but I am sure the other tools will come in handy. I was lucky to get this on a discount deal of just £16.72, but I think I would happily pay the full price, which at the time of review in early December 2024, is just £22.90.

I purchased this camera folding tool set as carrying different sizes of Allen wrenches is inconvenient and you can never find the right size in a hurry. This tool has four Allen wrenches which cover the sizes I use for L-brackets and cage use. The blade on the slotted screwdriver is a little large, but still fitted the screws on my L-brackets and tripod plates that have a slot rather than hex head. A Philips screwdriver and Torx T25 complete the set of tools although personally I don’t have a need for these two items.What I liked about this folding tool is just how small it is, it easily fits in the palm of your hand and it weighs just 82 grams. The tool arrives in the usual SmalllRig brown cardboard box and sleeve. I was please to find inside both a small hard carry case and a soft cloth bag. The website says not to use the tools as a lever which is a little disappointing as some SmallRig devices with recessed screws will still require an Allen wrench as the screw heads have holes for use with an Allen wrench as a lever to tighten them. The good news is that the hard case comes with a net compartment on one side so you can pop a set of different sized Allen wrenches in the pocket and still have all your tools close to hand.I hope you found this small review useful.

A great piece of kit for rigging camera gear. It has a large flat screwdriver blade which is great for fitting tripod plates, and various allen wrench sizes, ideal for adding kit to camera cages.Nice and compact, but not so small that its fiddly to use. I have large hands but I find this easy to use.Highly recommended.

Well made handy tool

A very nice and well made compact pocket tool for the photographer and camera operator. Just the right amount of useful tools to do common equipment builds and tightening without resorting to dipping into the tool box or rucksack for the 'bigger' stuff. I use the wide and thick screwdriver blade the most for attaching and tightening tripod plate screws to the bottom of camera rigs. I keep one in each camera bag, just in case.
