I gave the pants 3 stars because I personally like them, but the description is wrong. First, they are not cotton. Second, as I mentioned in the title, the hip measurements given in the description are for the low hip (just above the crotch) which is usually the widest measurement.My hip measurement at the hip bone, which is about the bottom of the pocket opening on most pants, is around 38”. I thought the medium would fit ok and maybe even a little loose, but these pants are very snug.Having said that, I do like the material even though it isn’t cotton and will order another pair in large since the overall fit is good for me.
